Hi Nicole! To prevent ingrown hairs on the upper lip, do you recommend using the blend setting? I also get small ingrowns or folliculitis on my cheeks in between sessions and I don’t know how to prevent them :( This was so helpful, thank you so much!

Next video sideburns or breast please! Generally how long is the process for the upper lip lasts? The standard 18 months? Btw it was nice to know for the bikini (bikini video) it can be 3/4 years. Still not ready to make that commitment. But now im hooked on electrology, so who knows 😄

Incredibly painful in this area. I needed to get Lido 10% to be able to handle it. I am thinking of going to blend. My lady was a sadist! She had the galvanized machine.

Hello, I am recent subscriber who stumbled upon your channel. My daughter just got her under the chin neck area done with thermolysis by an elderly lady with a machine with a foot pedal not computer aided. But she seemed very good at it. Was making sure to quickly zap the follicle with a gold needle and pull out the hair effortlessly without feeling like she was just plucking the hair. But after the initial 48 hours inflammation died down it left small red dots in that area . Are they scabs and is it normal? Please do reply. TIA

I wanted to do my upper lip, but my electrologist told me that my pores are gone enlarge if i do it. it's like there is no help for this 😭

Hi Lisa! Yes! I just recommend that you ONLY have thermolysis technique. No Blend or Galvanic.

Should the tweezing out after feel like hair is being plucked like regular tweezing feels? Or should it be a little less painful than that coming out?

Hi Nicole, I am a 34 years old mom. I have hair on my upper lip (mustache) since I was a child. Now I am in the condition can not do any treatment for my facial hair because I need to continue my study overseas. I have not been doing anything to get rid of my facial hair. Before I can do any treatments for my facial hair, is that Ok or safe to plug out my mustache or my chin hair. Many of my friends asked me not to shave it because it won't take off from the root, and it will make much thicker. Would you give me your suggestions, Thanks, Nicole

Hey Nicole, I had an 3 hour treatment for my complete upper lip 9 days ago. Now my upperlip is much darker. Can you recommend to put something on my lips to prevent it from staying this dark? Will it go away by itself and when? I am worried. Thank you for your videos.

@@sarrx6 unfortunately, its still dark. And no, it was not dark before, its post inflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by the treatment.

Hi Ruth, I am so sorry that you went to someone that left you with scars from electrolysis. That is terrible. I'd visit a dermatologist to discuss what you can do, as there are so many wonderful skin smoothing treatments these days and products that can help resurface your tissue. This is why it is so important with ANYTHING for your beautiful face and body that you find a super experienced practitioner, and never compromise on quality for price. I am thinking of you.

@@ElectroYogi thank you for answering. She has been doing it for 32 years, so I ask her about the scars and she said that it was my skin tissue that they were gonna go away with time😿 she said they weren't scars.... but i will go to a dermatologist thank you!

@@rr.3597 Hi Ruth, it may just be hyperpigmentation, which can happen to many different skin tones as a result of both electrolysis and anything like even having a pimple (that forms a discolored area for some time before it heals.) If it is hyperpigmentation, it WILL fade, and most likely go away forever. But if it's a real scar, as in an indention to the skin or a trauma to the surface itself, then it would need further help.

I had two 1 hour session in my upper lip (with a week of difference) this was 7 days ago and I still have a lot of hair. Now I see hiper pigmentation, do I need to stop the treatment? What can I do to reduce the hiper pigmentation?

oh my gosh... that is MUCH TOO LONG for a treatment on your upper lip!!! We never work more than 15 minutes at a time here, and 30 minutes if we're doing blend technique. No wonder you're seeing hyper-pigmentation. It is very common to have hyperpigmentation for certain skin types, which will fade and go away completely over time, but it should be avoided! That means, treatments of shorter duration. And for lip, never more than once a month. Hope this helps! nicole

@@ElectroYogi Hi Nicole! I saw your comment. I started with 30-45 min for my upper lip every week (5-6 sessions). Than I had few 45mim every two weeks. Now I moved to 15-20mim every two weeks, after seeing your recommendation!! My concern is about hyperpigmentation. I had PIH also before starting electrolysis due to many years of hair removal with wax and thread. My PIH looks a bit darkish with reddish spots. Will these sessions of every two weeks are still too much? Is it possible to send you a picture to see if my skin reaction is normal?. I would have wanted to come to your clinic, but unfortunately I am not from the US :( Thank a lot in advance Shani

hello! Upper lip usually takes about 18 months of monthly treatments, varying in time from 15-30 minutes max. all the best to you!

Hey... I’m 14 and I’m white so the dark hair on my upper lip is super noticeable and really embarrasses me! No one points it out! But I can see people look and for a girl that’s horrible! I don’t know what to do I’m so depressed and it’s a genetic thing in women in my family for some reason.. what do I do I’ve researched for years! I’m so scared anything I do will make it worse so I don’t do anything please help me :((

Hi Alpha! Did you check out my video for teenagers about growing hair? If you can't do electrolysis, then I'd recommend bleaching the hair, clipping it down super short, or shaving it from time to time. It will be OK! Don't worry! You can also watch my latest video, where I share my story about my own journey with electrolysis, that started with I was 14, too!
