i had two chemistry teachers teaching me that and i could never understood it! i watched a 5 min video of yours and understand it. thanks so much for posting the video:)
upon searching for a way to understand the mess my chemistry professor made of this topic, I discovered that not all teachers are created equal. You have made it possible for me to pass my test next week! Thank-you.
holy. mother. of. GOD... you have NO idea.... I've had multiple STEM tutors and professors try to explain this to me and it NEVER clicked. much much later (today) finally so fed up with how hard this is for me to understand, I did some googling to find this video. ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER. You are amazing.
Oh, I was wondering where the numbers came from. I was so confused in class because I had no idea where they were getting all the numbers; haha. Thanks for clearing that up.
Thank you soooo much this video really helped, I have a test today and I didn't really understand it but after this video I turned out an expert lol great video :D
OMGH! I want to Slap all of my Chemistry teachers. I have teamed teachers and I got switched from just being in a regular class. I was dying in their. But you Explained it so well and easily!!! I don't get why teachers can't explain stuff like the RU-vid videos does instead of making it so difficult! Ugh. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!
caps only so comment stands out. OKAY SO TELL ME WHY I HAVE TRIED USING THIS METHOD SEVERAL TIMES AND I CHECK ON THE INTERNET AND IT IS WRONG? FOR INSTANCE, TELLURIUM IS SUPPOSED TO BE KR 4d10 5s2 5p4. This method works through line 4, but after that, the electron configurations you get are wrong. Can someone kindly help me with this?
I'm not sure if this is what you're asking, but once you get to the d block, you -1 from the energy level/period you would expect it to be. So instead of it starting at 4d (which someone might think because the first row in the d block aligns with the 4th period) it would be 3d, then the next row down would be 4d despite it being in the 5th period. I hope that helps, if not I'm sorry D: I'll try to help more if I can though!
+BuddyMaltese Yes, thank you! That's exactly it, the configurations were always out of order. I don't understand why all these videos can't explain that part of figuring the electron configuration and instead just do it the sloppy " incorrect " way.. I see it gets more complicated once you hit the 6th line, as at that point it jumps to the f block before going back to D, S and then P. Again thank you so much for clearing it up for me!
