Law-enforcement is happy but it’s not because they can track your stolen vehicle. They’re happy because now they can track you. The days of people running from the cops would be over. The cop wants to issue a warrant. They just check your tag to see where you are. This is government tracking.
It’s locally stored on the SSD that’s if it’s only turned on and only works via Bluetooth dawg, if you were really concerned u could always dismantle the plate customly.
Why the monthly fee for something that gets renewed once a year? And how easy is it to just change the license plate number since it can apparently be done by the customer via their phone?
Please no. This actually costs more, for registering and when they break or die out. Plus, me being a plate collecter, this is going to ruin future plates for collecters.
Doe do i I don’t get it. I live in Arizona and I never have to go to the DMV, just use their website to do everything including vehicle registration. Order license plates and print out temp plates at home. Do other states not have a web portal to do all of this?
Why don't you "just research" instead of "just sayin" because if you did that? You would know that you could keep your standard plate on the front, and your original back plate in the trunk. Like why would you assume something then actually post it online as some kind of negative fact about the product? People like you make everyone dumber.
As of right now that data may not be shared but you better believe it will be down the road if you think for a second that your insurance company or the state will not utilize that feature you're out of your goddamn mind
Nope not for me . Too expensive. Not worth it at all. And talking about tracking u where ever u are. It like my wife asking me where I been all day.and like all tech there eventually break down. Who know for how long u have a car. And what the Warranty most people have there cars for more then 7 years
One thing that concerns me about those places not only can they be hacked basically somebody could just take those electronic plates on the car and switch them onto a stolen car that would be the concern I have right now because here's that means if they track the car if they're really cracking they're really cracking a stolen car that really the plate is on itself. And what I do mean is these criminals who basically steal the car with the plates that are on them already basically they just switch the plates out and put stolen place on stolen cars that means basically the car can't be traced at all. But I think with these new electronic plates that won't happen because here's what's going to happen even if they track your car that's fine but here's what's going to happen next if the plates are taking off the car and put on a stolen car that means the police will track the plates from your car and basically there's going to be a very serious problem. But hopefully we can stop car thefts and license plate thefts in one swoop. Make sure that the plates are firmly on the vehicle and basically screwed on to the vehicle. that way if a thief tries to take off the plates they won't be able to do it! That's my feeling about it! And the other thing is so yeah you can customize the plates but there's only one problem they only come in one color combination black and white it's just like your black and white TV no color. But that could all change as soon as they come out with new license plates I mean electronic license plates with a color scheme instead of black and white. Because I don't think black and white would look very good because that's going to confuse a lot of people. But the only thing about these electronic license plates will most likely be on what they call motorhomes as well. Because some motorhomes right now have blue and yellow license plates that start with the number one. And that's going to close what I'm saying is that's going to cause a problem. So I don't see how that's going to work but let's see what happens for cars and trucks right now. Because I don't agree with this black and white stuff. That's not what those plates are originally for. The colors on the plates should be the same color as the original plates.
Jist woke having a dream about a LCD number plate that you could change and have a gps tracker incase its stolen. Had to check the net incase someones already did it. Its not quite the same and simple as im thinking. So i might just go for ir. Plus im in the UK and ours have speiclal must haves rules. Pretty cool from a dream 🤣🤣 haha
Let's spend $700 so the DMV can save money? Hahaha they got the registration ATM style machine now in groceries stores and the DMV ....no waiting in lines
