The electrostatic motor is extremely simple, it has no coils and no magnets.

Beautifully simple! Thanks. This is great model for creation of mass via charge rotation over a Planck. E in rotation at c induces momentum c^2 Mass.

Very clear explanation. It is much better than the one demostrated by the Purdue guy.

Innovator? Do you have any clue how long electrostatic motors have existed? This isn't anything new you idiot.
@reypolice5231
@reypolice5231 3 года назад
@@nazgullinux6601 Since Benjamin Franklin flew a kite. Possibly going all the way back to the Egyptians. Or even before that. He showed a different way of doing this then has to spend described. Notice that it's a spherical ball inducing a condolini effect. This is spherical rotor design I have not seen before. What advantages can one use with a spherical rotor? What advantages can one use with a condolini effect. Notice there's no bearing. If this was scaled up could the spot for the bearing be a magnetic bearing by two simple magnets suspending it?

Awesome how the top speed is theoretically limitless with enough power and fine bearings

Sounds like a steam engine. Therefore, I deduce the train engines of the last century were electrostatic.

what probably limit the speed is the fact the axis wobble a lot... attaching the ball from the top would allow the ball to turn faster.

How can the positive high voltage supply positive voltage on the aluminum on the balloon and then the balloon gets repelled. Would the high positive voltage attract negative electron of the foil towards itself since electrons are in the outer shell in reality? Electrons moving towards the surface and leaving positive charges away from it. If that aluminum already was postively charged by some means, then it will repel I would think but this gets confusing to say the least.

So, what happens when it spins so much it drills a hole through the top of the sphere and it falls down? 😛😁
@ihtsarl9115
@ihtsarl9115 4 года назад
I thought that the left electrode also charges a negative charge on the opposing sphere's aluminum electrode and pushes it further away but after seeing the left spark then this proves my thought wrong

Isn't this how the Testatika generator works? You have a charge across 2 different poles for each of the disk (on opposite sides of the disks) with 2 capacitors. The disks rotate in opposite directions, this motion replenishes the charge and the machine keeps on spinning. It is a perpetual motion device (one of many).

Hey! Nice motor. It would work with an ignition coil? My ignition coil generates about 28kV
@ludicscience
@ludicscience 8 лет назад
+João Victor Moretti thanks, the motor needs DC. Ignition coil produce AC. You wil need to rectify the output of the ingnition coil.
@tibianomaster1
@tibianomaster1 8 лет назад
+Ludic Science Hey, the ignition coil produces a square wave DC.
@ludicscience
@ludicscience 8 лет назад
+João Victor Moretti Yes, that is what I thougth too, however the motor does not work with my ignition coil supply. Only after rectifying. I am not sure why.

"3 pieces of aluminum shit"... hehehehehe.... On a serious note of ponderance, you mention the motor speed increasing continually.... But, if this is a dual of the electromagnetic motor style, wouldn't maximum no-load speed be determined by current, and then maximum torque determined by voltage(assuming you can maintain insulation, which right now you aren't).. Basically the reverse of a typical electromagnetic motor. Obviously resistance increases as it spins faster, but if you could provide more torque at higher speeds, it would go faster.

very good ...... however try again to NOT use the wire, and bend one of the poles so they are NOT 180 degrees apart but rather ~~~ lets say 160 degrees apart on one side ... !! this is a similar gizmo www.blazelabs.com/e-exp10.asp
