I love all the looks, but she’s also tall and thin so everything will flatter this body type. I would love to see more styles on a petite Parisian. At 5’2” it’s definitely more challenging to find chic looks without drowning in fabric or looking frumpy.
I've liked a lot of the content on this channel but lately it's feeling kind of...stiff. With the exception of the camel coat outfit, none of these look effortless, they look styled within an inch of their life. I mean, it looks like an influencer wearing clothes to take pics (or video in this case) in, not to actually wear. Perhaps I'm in the minority but it's just not inspiring. Just a pretty person in pretty clothes to take a pretty photo.
Everyone is eligible to their opinion. Perhaps our aesthetic does not speak to you lately. We only feature and speak about things we love and wear which are inspired by our muses and elegant women we see on the streets of Paris 😌
White coat: beautiful but utterly impractical for city life unless you have a private car and driver 😅 Imagine sitting on public transport in that… or getting splashed by dirty puddles. That black leather coat is a dream though.
The most important thing to me in outerwear is the fabric, then the style. A coat has to be 100% wool or a wool/cashmere blend and lined with a breathable fabric like rayon. I don’t like unlined coats for the reason you mention, the difficulty in donning and doffing, plus a lining really helps cut the cold wind and helps a coat hang better and keep its shape. The longer the coat, the warmer, which is important for a skirt/dress wearer like me. I love the new tailored cuts, after too many years of the huge oversized monstrosities we’ve been pitched.
Cruelty free is not cruelty free for the planet, as it will be made of plastic fiber which doesn’t biodegrade and is highly resource intensive to make. Better to buy wool sourced from an ethical farm if that bothers you.
@@lisaw2525, Not necessarily. I make vegan cinna-buns and croissants. People always tell me my cinnamon rolls are better than the chain cinnabon! Many words including milk, leather were coined, without thinking deep, during certain periods when science was lagging in progress. Milk is something that's "extracted" from a human, animal or can be plant. Similarly leather is the skin which can be human, animal or plant. Lot of words that are use in today were from the past when we had taboos, superstitions and women(animals still suffer) weren't treated properly and even now in some parts of the world. One can make leather bags out of pineapple skin. Stella McCartney does but its very expensive. Givenchy makes vegan handbags that are $1500+. Its a good time to jump into vegan business as its still in an infancy stage. If one has good financial back up, as the first few years of any startup company could be tough, to survive through the initial years despite the slow business, then one can slowly draw more people into the world. There is a world of vegetarian dishes in countries like India but most Americans don't have the resources to see other countries. I throw my garbage in a small publix plastic cover once in 2-3 weeks. I live in a condo. If I have my own house, I would compost everything as my wastage of food is minimal as have a restaurant model vitamix blender. I bake my own breads. Its just knowledge with humility and contentment needed here in US and not greed to make the difference.
@@lisaw2525Agreed. All of the microfiber, polyester, and “vegan leather “, which is plastic, is so bad for the planet, as it takes thousands of years to degrade, yet people buy and replace them so quickly. Natural materials such as cotton, wool, linen, down, and leather are more comfortable and much better for the environment.
What an amazing episode. The looks were so elegant and put together exquisitely. Her style I effortlessly chic and classic at the same time. Please bring back more episodes with her with these transitional timeless pieces. Absolutely a pleasure to see such exquisite style, with such beautiful pieces.
Gorgeous coats ❤❤❤I did laugh at the start when Sofia fixed her lipstick then straight away put on her white coat. I’m guessing this is just the edit but if that was me it would be a major wardrobe malfunction unless I put my coat on like a ninja to avoid makeup transfer 😂 I love to see plenty of long tailored coats- as a petite they have the amazing power to elongate. I would love to see what other Parisian brands you recommend that are both sustainable and a little more attainable- excess only is great as a sustainable choice, not knocking it, but it seems to feature on this channel a lot and is very expensive….I would love to see what else you recommend. Also can you advise on the sunglasses in this video please ? They are perfect ! Merci ❤
With regards to the brands we feature. We carefully approach and curate the pieces and brands we feature looking into their approach to sustainability, material, make and fabrics. If you are watching us for some time you might have noticed that we prioritize quality over quantity. Question of quality and sustainability is extremely vast and we keep learning. Having said that when brands or pieces do not pass our above criteria we will not feature them t🙌
I loved all of the longer coats. The shorter shirling just doesn't work for me. Your style and taste is exquisite. Number one was definitely my favorite. So elegant, timeless and classic. Ty for such beautiful content that can be worn for women of all body types. If others, like myself can't afford all of these pieces. You can still get inspired by the styles and find something similar in your budgets. Ty for your lovely video.💕
Georgous looks, so stylish so cool. You are more adventurous with coat length than me, but I am going to look at longer coats for next winter. I also like that many of the winter coats were lighter in weight. 🎉❤
It was such a pleasure to watch the Episode with coats, thank you!!! 🤗 Sofia, could you please make a video about warm quilted Jackets and peacoats/Caban jacket - it truly practical, but rarely presented!! Thank you!!!
I've really enjoyed all the looks... Very flattering and chic🥰 So inspiring! And Sofia has an incredible sophisticated aura 😍 Tysm PV for this great selection and the truly useful added tips 🤍💋
In -20 you can no longer talk “coats”😉. You need a long and super warm parka or a fur coat. “How to survive in extreme cold” - that would be a different conversation 😉
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! Choosing a favorite can be quite the delightful dilemma, can't it? Each coat brings its own touch of timeless elegance to any wardrobe. We're glad you enjoyed them all💖💖
WOW. Lovely collection. Perfect timming. I am on the look for a long mac/ coat for spring. Watching from England UK and it's raining every other day and it's cold after 7pm.
I really adore all the outfits. While I typically prefer silver hardware, I couldn't help but think that gold hardware would have enhanced a few of the ensembles in which you wore a belt and a handbag. Thank you for the inspiration!
I am a Chinese, although I like such tone, it's simple, chic and timeless, I doubt it dun suit us the Asian with yellow skin tone. I lived in tropical non seasonal country, no opportunity to wear in my country unless I go to overseas during autumn or early winter 5:55
Looks great only on people who need to accommodate their vertical line like flamboyant naturals or dramatic body types. I wish you would show more variety with different models/influencers. Color recommendations are also very limiting and doesn't actually suit half of people.
You can’t choose a coat without an influencer? Now that’s tragic. We watch this for entertainment and aesthetics, like normal people. I’m not gonna wear what she promotes because I don’t like it, even though it’s my body type. Should I be like you and start complaining that the coats didn’t suit me and they must make a new video now?
Do you genuinely find it inconceivable that people watch these videos for inspiration on what to wear? The only thing tragic here is your lack of empathy.
