A PID is a Public Improvement District fee assessed to homeowners for the improvement of infrastructure, parks and recreation, and other improvements for the benefit of the residents. A MUD is a Municipal Utility District tax. The purpose of a MUD is to provide a developer an alternate way to finance infrastructure, such as water, sewer, drainage, and road facilities.
