Great unboxing setting up guys! Can't wait for the hands-on review. Those bikes ain't so bad at that price,they can handle some easy gentler mtb paths.I wouldn't buy it for that purpose,I would use it everywhere else though. Better batteries are out now,fast charge and can do over 200 miles on a single charge but at the moment costing 12-16 grand, with the bike of course.
Great job Dan, you’ve done well for a first attempt. I’ve been building my own bikes from scratch for years and can I please suggest you check and double check everything you’ve tightened. Better still, take it to a bike shop and ask a proper mechanic to check your setup, this wouldn’t cost much and could save your life! Also, the hole you found on the seat stays is for a mudguard, a rear pannier rack or both. The manufacturers put these holes in just in case you wish to add these items and very rarely or never supply these when new. As mentioned, the black, U shaped bar is a cage to protect the rear gear arm. Turn this round to point downwards. Important point, your seat is way too low. The rule of thumb is that when you’re sat on your seat, your leg should be very almost straight when your pedals are at the lowest point. Having your seat too low will waste a huge amount of your physical energy and you’ll end up using the motor more than you need to and kill the battery even quicker. When you stop, just come off the seat and stand. Lastly, the 26” refers to the wheel size. Most full size bikes of this type have wheels of this size with the larger 27’ wheels usually only found a racing bikes. Hope this helps.

Considering you didn't do anything with bicycles so far you did a good job. Don't worry about that thing you broke - they brake all the time or just disappear because someone else needed one. Applause to the nice camera girl. Kind regards from my wife too ;-)
Dan, IMPORTANT. when tightening your handle bars you tighten the two Allen bolts on the side of the stem. The top bolt just tightens the top cap or may just tighten the headset bearings. Please check that you’ve properly adjusted these, otherwise you’ll turn the bars and the wheel won’t follow. Most probably the most important check on the bike.
Nice bike. I'm currently looking at getting an e-bike due to how close we now live to the center of our town (less than 3/4 of a mile) and with the price of gasoline, it costs me over $160 to fill up my pick-up truck (a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado) and how much we burn on daily trips to town and back. Plus...excercise if I pedal. Thanks for a great video.
dan that bit you attatched to the back wheel needs to be pointing down not up it is to protect the derailer gears that protrude down from the center of the rear wheel.

Having you seat so you can touch the ground is the old way..... your pedal should be in the lowest( crank arm pointing down ) sit on the seat with a slight bend in your leg..... its less stressful on your legs when riding
That hand throttle came loose in the box because it’s not legal in every country , in the UK the hand throttle should only assist you up to 4mph walking speed . That bracket at the rear is a bash guard to protect the derailure arm. Take the battery range with a pinch of salt it all depends on your fitness level. What sort of terrain ie hilly or flat , headwind or tailwind.
