ELEMENTAL MAGICK || All about the four elements in witchcraft and how to use them in spells 

I struggle with [time of day] correspondences and many other traditional correspondences for that matter. Air≈dusk, Fire≈noon, Water≈dawn, Earth≈midnight. My modification: Water/East/dawn [opposing>] Fire/West/dusk Air/North/noon [opposing>] Earth/South/midnight My color correspondences: Water: All cool colors like blue, cyan, indigo [typical:blue] Fire: All hot colors like red, orange, yellow, gold, and even magenta [typical:red] Air: All light pastel colors, white, silver, transparent [typical:white] Earth: All earth tones, black, grey, green [typical:black] My correspondences are based on a tree of life motif that I came up with. Imagine a tree that grows from the earth. To the left of the tree is the sun and to the right of the tree is rain. All these elements help the tree grow. Earth is below where the roots are. The sky(air) is above where the leaves are. The sun and rain are either to the left and right (and can be interchanged.) The whole motif can be rotated and flipped from left to right. It is also based on “opposing” forces (in my mind they are opposites anyway) fire opposes water. And earth (solidity) is opposite of air (non-solid.) I put fire in the west because the setting sun seems to set the sky ablaze in that direction. Water in the east because the Atlantic Ocean is directly east of my home.

I feel such a pull to magick, but I don't know near enough yet to start any spells or rituals. I'm a Norse Pagan and I practice the Runes and offering rituals, I'm expanding my knowledge each day though. Skal Sister

I got creative when working on my candle holders for the 4 elements. I bought 4 masks 2 masculine and 2 feminine faces. I then painted each face in primary colors for each one. After that coat of paint dried I taped the Alchemical triangles for them. Then I did a "tree ring acrylic painting using varying shades of contrasting color . Then mounted them onto a piece of wood. I burn votive candles behind them during Ritual. The candle flame burning behind the masks and dancing around behind the eyes. Looks really cool.

This is very cool! I think East is like the dawning of our life where we seek wisdom and the pale yellow of the morning sky. I think West is like the cobalt space which limns the trees at dusk. I love how you suggested gold and silver. I’m totally going to use different candles ❤️

This video is so informative and helpful thank you! Ever sense I was a child I have been connected to the elements it seems, mostly air. As I got older my attraction and connection became stronger. This is where it becomes almost unbelievable. I started talking to the elements I gave them names and they sometimes came to me in human forms. I could tell the element I was most attached to was air from the start. Now that I'm older I still speak with them but not as much so I have been wanting to get back into working and talking with them! Thank you so much for this video!

I use/learned the elements like you said and the correspondences of each is the same but I start by invoking earth then from there the east to south to west same correspondences. I invoke the elements and then invoke deity if I need and then do spell work, typically.

Aloha! I think there was a confusion with the Athame and the wand. As the wand is for air element and athame for fire . You can also add salt to the list for earth element. Happy to be here!

Im only going off diferent sources but is it typical to be far more connected with one or two ir are they all together, Air would be the most consistent and evident, however, stronger after actions and passion (fire), far more easy to connect when outside (earth), and the rain does feel healing, always washes away the bullshit. However, i meant by both intention and action, air is by far the dominant one. Getting way more easy and reliable with age. Fire and water though, if ever, feels like a result of air. So as i mentioned, are you typically on able to actually control and direct one? Again, i know they affect each other but i really mean, control.

As a man, I almost feel shame admitting I have become curious about this stuff. Been studying Norse mythology and now wish to add Wicca. As an empath, I am a rare combination of cerebral and emotional (INFJ). “Male witch” doesn’t sound right but I am sure ego is at play. From a practical standpoint, while I was baptized Catholic and educated by Jesuits, deity I think is more accurately represented by a “father” and “mother”, the masculine and feminine. My spiritual journey or “expansion” began about two years ago as part of my recovery from substance abuse. Virgo btw.

But these are elementals and correspondences taken from Ceremonial magick, typically used in Wicca because even (at least British) Traditional witches often use winds and different direction correspondences, so a Norse witch would you not use correspondences more in line with Asatru?

Hier muss ich sagen, dass mich die Musik doch etwas ablenkt. Fällt mir schwer dem Gesagten zu folgen. Weiß nicht obs vielleicht an der Lautstärke liegt. Witzig... Ich erkenne mich doch in einigem wieder. Ich bin Skorpion. :) Aber ich fühle mich oft mehr hingezogen zu Feuer. Ich trage zum Beispiel sehr gerne Gold/Messing und das gibt mir auch mehr Selbstbewusstsein. Silber fühlt sich meist falsch an.. Vielleicht brauche ich einfach mehr Unterstützung in eine Richtung.. Gerade das eher passive steht mir häufiger im Weg. Mein Partner ist auch ein Wasserzeichen... Das gibt wirklich noch mal eine andere Sicht auf die Dinge, wenn man sich die Elemente ansieht. Was Verständnis angeht muss ich sagen, dass mir jetzt nach dem Gucken des Videos einiges fehlt, weil ich einige Begriffe nicht kenne und auch nicht weiß wie ich sie schreiben soll, sie also nicht gezielt recherchieren kann. Es sind ja schon speziellere Begriffe, die man nicht unbedingt kennt? Vielleicht wären Einblendungen oder andere Visualisierungen eine Idee? Wollte nur die Rückmeldung geben :) Du machst es ja auch für Leute die noch nicht so ganz im Thema drin sind, wie ich verstanden habe? :) Liebe Grüße Linda
