to clarify at the end I say that you should not focus eles in outnumbered and then you should focus them. What I meant to say is that you should focus their team in even fights because the ele can't support them as much, and then focus the ele when you have killed their team and they are now outnmbered
@@blubbblubber4342 that depends on a lot. If its something like a rev or necro or anything u can just plant all your damage into youll get more value because then the tempest has to heal more to keep them alive, if its something liek a warrior or guardian thats naturally tanky you should focus the ele, but if you focus a dps when an ele can heal while kiting its pretty bad. If you make the ele run out of healing by focusing their dps then swapping to the ele it can also work.
Great video! Thank you for this series. Another thing that is super important in small scale group fights is the heal/condi cleanse variants. These are usually very survivable and resistant to focus, unless you can stun lock them. However, because their survivability comes from movement and over time heals, if you pressure them often they leave off healing their team to stay alive. This can allow you to pressure the ele and then move to a low hp damage class to kill them before the ele realizes that they aren’t being targeted any more.
LoL Vallun I love your instructional videos. I usually click on PvP videos with the volume turned off because like 90% of them are just some fast-paced rap/metal/electronica. But tune in to Vallun's channel and it's like a PBS special on how to craft old-fashioned cheese from Master Craftsman Vallun right here in colonial Williamsburg! We've been doing it this way for more than 200 years! See you at the renaissance fair! The music and how calm you are is just perfect. Love it! Also, it helps that you really know your stuff!
I love this series. I haven't had that much time to play lately so the matchups I'm having trouble with still give me a lot of issues, but this helps a TON. Usually I'd go into one of my alts for that class and experiment a bit, but like I said, lately it's been a bit rough, so I'd rather just chill when I play. This is awesome for anyone in this kind of situation, or honestly anyone just looking to review the matchup itself. Really really good video, looking forward for the thief breakdown most of all lol
glad you're making this series! i was wondering if you had any advice for how to deal with the tankier condition-based weavers, as I have struggled against them in PvP
11:42 that DC was me, my pc was giving me issues all day when I tried fixing my left side monitor in my setup because it was blinking alot, so sorry about that my guy
I wish you would have you would have touched more on their survivability when it comes to the amount of evades they have in their kit and the invuln, you did mention the projectile denial skills tho. My point is, you say Mesmer is a good counter to Weaver, which I agree with as long as it’s a condi based Mesmer, I play a bit of ranger and Mesmer and I usually play power builds as I don’t enjoy the condition play style, weaver is the one class I pretty much know if they have at least 2 brain cells I might as well take my hands off my keyboard, as for the majority of the fight they are Invuln to me due to dodges, evades, barrier, invulnerable and stuns and if you get them low, they Turtle up to the point where you can’t do anything to them but they heal back up and still dmg you with condi. I can’t interrupt a weaver as a power Mesmer if the majority of skills I try to use end up with “evade” or “invulnerable”
Great video! As someone who is trying to get into PvP this was really helpful. Is there a class you would recommend for beginners to play to learn PvP?
