Perceive the: Edges; Negative Spaces; Relationships & Proportions; Light & Dark (or chiaroscuro); and Gestalt.

The second horse is 75% of what my drawings look like. 😂

It took me WAY too long to learn this!! My friend, who went to art school, looked physically pained when I showed them my old process of drawing each part in detail before moving on 😂 "no wonder your proportions were so messed up bud...omg..." And that's on being self taught for all my life lmaooo

Typically the shape you start out with before adding the details is the part where you have the heaviest lines in the end. Smaller details, like that horses eyes (which he did not draw) would be thinner, right? i figured id ask just to understand both videos better 🤗

Yes but my hand refuses to draw them nicely. My hand: weak fool, you need to draw consistently every second of your life or I will never be good enough. 😂😂😂😂
