"Elevation: 99" a TR-8S song by gattobus

This song was created using only TR-8S, single pattern, 4 bars.
I loaded some external samples, like a pad, a Shepard tone and some blips from my modular. The other sounds (Bass, Drums and arpeggio) are from the internal synth engine.
I hope you like it! I had a lot of fun playing it! :-)

We've come a long way with "drum machines". This couldn't be further from Jeff Mills playing playing his 909 in a big empty white room pitching kicks and hats... The TR8S is a studio in a box. Nice work!

I believe the drum grooves sound in the device but other synth modulation. This is an only "effect hunter" performance video.

How is the arp sequenced? It seems it can’t be using coarse tune motion recordings since the CTRL seems to be used for effects.

motion recording is on TUNE, the first knob from the top ;)

gattobus Ah, thanks - that makes sense! I’m guess you’ve come up with a mapping table of sorts to figure out the desired tune offset for the required semi tones. Will give this a bash later. Thanks again - and excellent work!

Yes and you can get the same tr 808 and 909 even 707, 727, 606,627 and plus sampling and SD. Card insert.

One benefit to the boutiques is you can use the TR-08 and TR-09 at the same time - a total of 27 sounds instead of 11.

Andreu Mateu all I could think of is flam with a fast LFO on the tone..... but I would have absolutely no idea. Im hoping Gattobus might help us out here with a hint or two
