3 years later and I found your video! I've been buying up Elf like crazy. Love the brand - cheaper, great quality, great selection, cruelty free, and they accept Elf product receipts from other stores on their website as points. So good. Awesome video except now I'm having a hard time deciding on colours because I LOVE all of them.
This was a great lip swatch video - the pacing, the lighting, showing a clear close-up of the final color on your lips...extremely helpful. All the colors look amazing on you - you have perfect lips, too!
These are SO BEAUTIFUL!! My favorite shade has been "happy" and the shade "joyful" is my second favorite. I hope that elf never discontinues these. They are gorgeous, wear well, are pigmented and have been a favorite lip product of mine for at least a year now. I'm surprised how people didn't talk about these more because they are like a lipstick and a gloss in one which is pretty cool. I never tried the Tarte maricuja juicy lip, but to me, they look a lot a like except one is $8 bucks and the other is ridiculously priced at $25. These are great lip products though. Elf is really killing it!
Loved the video! Small correction, the coral shade you called "Cherry" is actually called "Cheery." It fits into the rest of the names with all have a theme of being different words happiness. 💄
Great video! Im in my 50s and I find that heavy lipsticks no longer work for me. These are perfect. I also love the elf sheer lip slicks. Golden Pear is gorgeous! Thanks for swatching all the shades! Want to pick up a few more
What a great video! So helpful! Nothing is more aggravating that purchasing lipstick/balm, getting it home and not liking it. This gives us so much info to go on.
These smell like very ripe cantaloupe and I love them too! Delightful is almost a spot on dupe (but cooler toned of which I love) compared to my favorite Tom Ford lipstick in the now discontinued shade Sugar Glider. These are amazing, I'm a huge fan and I hope they never discontinue them!

These are really lovely - I have bought Ecstatic and Happy because of your video. £6 each at Boots (UK pharmacy / drugstore chain you can find on every high street & shopping centre) they often have special discount offers on cosmetics. Your analysis of the formula is spot on they look dewy -shiny and feel luscious without that clumping sensation of glosses and they don't feel "jammy" or gooey. The sheer colours are flattering without looking "overdone" for young teens and mature ladies (50+) Some other brands (even in muted nude shades) can make us look waxy like a "melted clown" on mature or very youthful complexions.
Happy and Joyful are my faves! I love how it does not feel greasy, but has slip and feels very comfy on the lips. I love these more than I thought I would, tbh. These are great if you like the look of gloss, but hate the stickiness.

I just got one and it totally smells like Pop Rocks candy to me!! I wish it didn’t have that strong of a scent but it does smell delicious, so I don’t mind :)

Shade happy is my natural lip colour ❤❤ Also the scent is artificial watermelon (only know that bc my childhood dentist used fluoride paste that “tasted like watermelon” 😂)

There definitely is a powdery-sweet fragrance that's redolent of pressed candy. What it really puts me in mind of is children's chewable vitamins (like Flintstones).
Nice video! These remind me of the old Covergirl Lipslicks glosses which I was a huge fan of and then they were discontinued. I might have to try one, thinking Delightful might be the best choice for me. I am hesitant though because I have been really turned off in the past by the smell and taste of Elf lip products. I will look at reviews but this swatch video was very helpful, thanks!
@@Australeya I picked up Happy at my local Ulta last weekend, I like it quite well. I might pick up Delightful at some point but will probably hold for now. These are just like the CG Lipglosses that I mentioned before, so I am pleased about that. The smell reminds me of melon which isn't my favorite, but it's not strong enough that it bothers me that bad, so we are good there. Thanks again for this video! I also really liked the music you used as well!

I ordered all the darker colors to see if I can match black honey from clinque. I've never bought that one though so I'll have to match online. And i usually don't do dark colors but they look very glossy. I may do the orange colors later.

I can't wear regular lipsticks bc they tend to dry my lips out ...pretty much 1 second after application. I'd like something for work so I don't look as dead girl glam haha. This might work. Do you have any other suggestions for like sweatpants for lips? But that has more pigment than regular see thru chapstick?
I’d give these a try for sure, they are very comfortable and hydrating on my lips. They don’t have much pigment though. Hmmm I have lots of gloss favorites, but I don’t necessarily think they hydrating. If I can think of anything I’ll let you know! Also I love that “sweatpants for lips” 😂😂😂
