+Natsu Dragneel if you know how to read properly, I'm the description it says that they recorded auto before the video. So she may of lip synced but if anything she lip synced to her own voice. So she still sings angelically. :)

What makes Elfen Lied so special is that it was never afraid to be blatantly upsetting, even if that meant putting the viewer in highly uncomfortable situations. There's no good ending here, at least in the anime. You get a tragic, bitter, disastrous tale of loneliness and loss, and the melancholic soundtrack accents this perfectly. One of my Top 3 anime of all time, and I'll never forget it.

I was actually really pleased to listen to her pronunciation, she even got the stresses right. You can tell they put a lot of thought into this, unlike the creators of the actual anime...

I'm singing this for a talent show at school! Wish me luck! :D Edit since apparently people have been asking: she never approved it so I couldn't sing, but apparently singers usually don't get to sing. I made this as a sophomore and before I could audition and sing as a junior covid hit and now I'm a senior. Maybe if covid gets better I can come back with better news? Until then, I won't sing this on stage :(

Actually, the original Japanese writer did a writing project in latin (some poem or something) and she loved the sound of Latin so much she wrote Lillium in Latin. Her Latin wasn't that great though so she mispronounced some stuff. This singer pronounces Latin better though

But if you studied it and know the history, latin being a dead language and all, how could you say that? I sing in a choir that perform medieval music exclusively. We adjust how we pronounce latin lyrics depending on the country of origins and the time period. It's not going to sound the same if it's a song from 13th century England or if it's a song from 16th century Florence.

Those vocals are so rediculously on key at times, it almost doesn't sound real. Especially the 2:03 and out part is just mind-blowing.... my music lingo fails me, but how cleanly tones are changed between and the steadyness of her voice puts synthesizers to shame. Great work by the rest of the crew as well of course! ^^

During the bridge scene where they explode the little girl but her father runs to him and explodes with her, you remember that scene? At the manga, despite the girls beggings, father orders a soldier to pull the trigger of the explosives soldier feels bad for the girl and cant do it girl kills soldier and father explodes the girl, she doesnt die but she somehow loses her bad side and becomes a good little girl which the father has to take care by knowing once he tried to kill her although she promised to be good.

@@duko1154 That neither has the same melody nor lyrics lol The tone of it was based on catholic hymns and the lyrics are passages from the bible in Latin and Greek. The music itself was original to the anime aiming for it to sound like it's from an older time and, based on how many people get confused on this, I think they succeeded.
