The reason this fight was so incredible is because usually Elfman would've used brute strength without even thinking. This time however he was smart, he knew he couldn't win he just made sure Bacchus wouldn't win. He took those hits like a tank, let Bacchus exhaust himself and won without landing a single punch. This fight was one of Elfman's greatest moments.
He became my favourite character through this fight for three reasons 1. The victory made more sense than most of the wins for characters in this series, it was an actual strategy without the need of some miracle power boost 2. Elfman is a middle child brother, relatable as hell 3. SHEER WILLPOWER, if you win out of sheer willpower and just you not willing to give in, you’ve earned my respect
yeah the unstoppable force is BACCUS! and the immovable object is Elfman like a real man! of course they can move but metaphorically they one of them is an unstoppable force and the other an immovable object so this applies well.
Wildo I don’t see the problem here. If you’re in a competition, where you have to win regardless of how you accomplish it. Your opponent is far more skilled than you, you cannot land a single hit, and are countered every time you try. Elf man’s tactic to try and out last his opponent was a solid choice. Defense and endurance was all he had left. So choosing a transformation that has a strong defense and inflicts damage back onto the opponent was the BEST strategy he could have used to win.
@@WitheringAurora Plus watching it made you kinda on the edge of your seat of who's going to win and when I first watched this I cheered so loud and happily that Elfman won.
Storm Gorilon what? lee is nothing like bui ecept the fact that he wears weighted armor and even then lee only has it around his legs, dbz characters wear weighted clothes as well. bui and lee don't act the same, they don't speak the same, they don't even think the same or have the same abilities
Storm Gorilon Yea thats a super dumb connection I expected maybe Chu if you were going with YYH but Lee is nothing at all like Bui and very little like Chu. Plus how are Bacchus and Bui similar so why would we need them to fight the whole thing doesn't make sense
lmao 8 years ago so how are you doing now? I bet you haven't listened to it in years so I guess when you first wrote this it was mabey 3 years since you've heard this but its been nearly a decade now! so have you listened to it again since you wrote this comment and watched this video?!
Natsu would probably try to break through the Lizardman's armor with his bare hands just for the challenge. I'm sure most Fairytail fans would agree. But you do have a point. I believe that the Lizardman's defensive abilities are mainly physical, and I think that it (and the other abilities of Elfman's other forms) are explained in the manga.
Saying Erza has the strongest will , although she gave up at Jellal just shows your knowledge about anime. And yes something like ice could never come close to demons that destroy mountains with a sword slash , dragons that destroy islands without trying and Legendary monsters as the ten tails
muy buen AMV es la mejor pelea que le he visto a Elfman en el Anime y mas x la Bestia Lizardman me gusto mucho el final el grito de elfman con la cancion xD
If your opponent's a never ending agression Berserker and you know your outmatched, your best chance against them honestly is to have them tire themselves out. So if you have a super tanky form, might as well dump all your stats into that.
elfman just found a good stratagy for that perticular oponent by using that perticular take over he only had to outlast bacchus rather than needing to overpower him
Elfman at the end. You know what he should be yelling? MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like Fah Ven said, it was a test of will, not strength or speed or even technique, it was to see who had the most will to win. Elfman was already banged up before, for him to take that punishment while "balled up", it was amazing cause the only thing that helped him win were the sharp spikes and scales along his body and of course his will.
Yes , it is amazing. if you say every chaper, "i want THIS to happen in the next episode", then yes, but is you see it normally, yeah it is amazing, i like it a lot
Bacchus is basically saying at Elfman if he would win Elfman's sisters will be his for a "night" (if you know what I mean) but if Bacchus lose Elfman can have whatever he wants as winning prize.
He lost because Elfman pretty much figured out his weakness. In a strait up fight he would gave lost so instead he took a form that could take the beating Bacchus was giving him and at the same time could damage him at the same time.
I mean i didnt like the first impression that they gave us. BUT, thats exactly why i was expecting some crazy fight between erza and him. Like seriously he was mentioned so briefly i dont even remember his name. I just wish that if they were going to introduce him, dont make him seem like an asshole. Like i recall him saying if he won he gets to "have" elfman's sisters. Like wtf? Make him more menacing is all i want.
everyone in fairy tail has become so much stronger recently chances are they aree still using how erza used to be as a bench mark also being s class doesnt mean they are all the same strength there will be differences how large is unclear as there isnt really a higher class so being above the average s class is still counted as s class
The reason why he's so good is that he has speed and unpredictability. But seeing as all Elfman needs to do is not move, both those become useless.... and it's basically an endurance match
