Elias Parish Alvars (28 February 1808 -- 25 January 1849) was an English harpist and composer.

+Lorenzo Schwarze Torres La mayoría de las veces borran los videos por cuestiones de copyright, pues aunque la composición sea de dominio público, la grabación del álbum tiene Copyright. Hace poco Exterminaron de RU-vid las composiciones para harpa de Krumpholtz. RU-vid no siempre tiene un final feliz con respecto a la Música.

..no se de música, y tampoco de compositores, ni me interesa saberlo...tan solo sentirlo los sonidos. Para ver como reacciono a ellos. Este vídeo me engancho, el cuadro de pintura. Ver como las acémilas sufrían las inclemencias del tiempo, me imagino a -40 grados. Esperar 02:13 minutos para escuchar la composición al Harpa de Don Elias Parish Alvars...un buen acierto. Tiempo en que vi cada mililitro cuadrado de dicho cuadro. Hasta que llegó los sonidos del Harpa.! Y me puso a barrer la calle, con mas alegría que los otros días. Gracias K................2 por este acierto. (perdonad no poner tu código, pues soy un viejito que transmute desde EL Mas Allá hacia El Mas Acá, con un frío tan intenso como aquel de el cuadro del Don Charles Cooper Henderson). !! Viva el siglo XVIII !!..por estas muestras de que siempre han habido personas que vivían en lo bueno de la vida. Y ahora toca a El Yo Mio de Mi Mismo imitar su ejemplo, claro esta aunque sea recogiendo mierda de perros den la calle de mi barrio, ! pero lo hago con buenas ganas !....por si acaso algún artista pinte un cuadro con las casas coloniales con sus tejados derruidos. Saludos desde el terruño de los que transmutamos, para ver y escuchar otras aristas de la vidas : Ecuadorsito.

Beautiful concerto by a professional harpist. The orchestra exposition is rather long and rich condidering the standards of vituoso concertos at that time. The composer is aware that harp all along can be a bit uniform and takes care of the orchestral material.

He has a c minor harp concerto? You might be confusing it with the E minor one.

@@Aaron-dj2vi The c minor is one of Parish-Alvars' four big harp concerto's. Never published, only a manuscript available. The e minor is a Concertino for harp and strings.

This is a very beautiful concerto, but it raises the same questions than the very beautiful concertos for piano of Chopin. The role of the orchestra is quite small, so there is a lack of balance between the two partners. I would even say that the problem is more serious in Chopin's case; here, we have some tutti that poctuate the form.

In live performance the harp is easily covered up when the orchestra plays so its better to have long solo passages...

Y con toda razon. Elias Parish-Alvars fue el revolucionario del arpa, es el equivalente a Liszt en el piano, Paganini en el violín y Rossini en la voz.
