Elijah Craig A124 Vs Larceny A124 Whats The Better Bourbon? 

I got both and hope to do this comparison. If both are meh I’m done with these Heaven Hill offerings.

I grabbed both. I'm not to bothered by the age on the EC, yes I'd like higher proof but I thought it was a good pour. I'm going to have to do a side by side to see which one I like more. Awesome video cheers!🥃

Saw Larceny a124 yesterday at total wine in michigan. First time I've seen it. Still haven't seen the new elijah craig

I snagged the EC at bottle king for about $74...solid bottle for MSRP---not nearly as good as the C923 but still a great bottle.

I like LBP, but they always just seems to be lacking depth. Don’t get me wrong, still great, but they just don’t hold up. Look forward to trying the A124.

Just picked up both A124's this weekend. I much prefer the Larceny, but after the ECBP chilled for a couple of days after being opened it tastes much better. ECBP has a little bit more of an oak finish than I prefer as well.

I've had both of the A124 bottles this year and would agree with you almost 100%. The ECBP was scrumptious and that Larceny orange and lemon oil notes on the nose, but I didn't get as much maple syrup as you did-still a spot on review and I did prefer the Larceny BP by leaps and bounds, but only slightly lol.

I literally saw both of these on the shelves and was way past my budget on bourbon and could only grab 1! Glad I Grabed the larceny! Great review!

Agreed. larceny A124 is great!

We only get the LBP in my area so if I see it I'll get it. Rumor is that the ages on Th ECBP will continue to go down possibly to 7-10. And if EC starts now to get older stuff back up to 12 I'll be dead before that happens. Nice review glad you got to get them. Enjoy.

I liked my first bottle of Larceny A124 so much that I went back and bought 3 more bottles.

Great review. ECBP’s are one of my favorite bourbons year in and year out. I think this is one of the coolest comparisons every release. Just depends on different pallet’s as to what people prefer

Rewatching tonight! Just picked both bottles up today and having a pour tonight. ECBP A124 is sweet up front and a nice spice on the finish and I’m loving it and not caring about the age and proof that people worry about! I think people are now spoiled from the C 923 which I never saw anywhere:( I think the ECBP is a great value bottle and my friend sold it to me for 55.00 bucks!The Larceny A124 is also as usual a very nice pour!

I only care how they taste and which is a better buy. Not interested in age statements. Why do so many people get so hung up on that.?

I bought 5 bottles of the LBP at $45 apiece. The ECBP was a $100 so I’ll stick with the Larceny. Great reviews.

availabilty and price.. ?? I can tell you most ABC states will not have one or the other.. not sure why that is the case. MSRP is 75$ to 85$. depends on your taste, but the Larceny is a wheated bourbon.. 80% corn, 17% Red Wheat, 3% Barley..the Elijah Craig is corn-rye mash. Great Video. Nice but pricey.. not the daily sipper value for the buck. More of a special occasion pour, unless your rich. I have only found the Larceny.. I doubt VA ABC will get any Elijah Craig.. distribution or something. Secondary market is about the same, maybe less than the ABC stores actually. On final note, your final thought of grabing the Larceny over the Elijah.. is a bit of a stretch.. some people either like wheaters or the don't.. some would rather have the rye in the mix and some would rather not.. the Elijah is your way above the average aged typical bourbon profile, the Larceny is very sweet(some like that, some do not) smoother not better. Get whichever, both are great.
