The only one who actually acts like he's 1000 years old. Classy, sophisticated, intelligent and above all else dangerous. All of which make him so unique
Elijah calling Klaus his "baby brother" is threat enough as it is. Everyone knows how big and bad Klaus is so talking as if he is just a child implies that no matter how bad Klaus is, Elijah is far worse. Edit: just the clarify, I know Klaus is stronger than Elijah. I was making the point that Elijah calls Klaus his "little brother" when talking to enemies to give off the impression that he was worse than Klaus and they should be just as afraid of him. Especially since Klaus is infamously renowned for his wrath, anger and violence.
@Francisco Leyva Martin yes, Klaus is stronger but Elijah is making a threat, it is there to scare someone out of doing something. He has to make himself seem more frightening than his brother, a hybrid whom everyone is scare of.
@@KimM13744 He actually is more dangerous, because Klaus is predictable, but Elijah is always calm, no matter if he's going to invite you for dinner or kill you.
@@KimM13744 I honestly think Elijah is stronger due to being older and having more composure. I suppose you could argue that Niklaus could be stronger due to his hybrid heritage. It's genuinely something that could be debated forever. Nevertheless, he can definitely subdue Niklaus. I personally think TVD and some plot have undermined Elijah at times.
Klaus is a ticking bomb, one wrong word and he explodes. Elijah is an unloaded gun. One wrong word and he is loaded and aimed at you but you still have a slight chance of surviving your own stupidity.
Honestly I don't think that was intentional. it looks like Daniel almost broke character but I'm glad they kept it in, that's actually so in-character for Elijah
I absolutely fancy his sophisticated language. When Elijah makes a threat it sounds like poetry. Notice that his face remains calm and emotionless when making threats towards people. It's like you can't predict his move and decipher his intentions. Elijah is less expressive but he's more dangerous than Klaus imo 💀
I love Elijah. He truly can be terrifying. Klaus and Rebekah are impulsive and emotional, which is scary in its own right, but Elijah is the kind of monster you'd never see coming. His calm and sophisticated demeanor makes him more likely to be underestimated. It takes a lot for him to lose his composure, but make no mistake --- if you threaten someone he cares about, he can be unspeakably brutal.
Niklaus is the danger everyone knows from miles away. Elijah is the refined aristocrat who will deliver his threats with such unshakeable tranquility that it crawls under your skin and sends chills down your spine.
The fact that Elijah called Niklaus his baby brother! I guess somethings don't even change after an eternity like yeah he may be THE KLAUS MIKAELSON but he is Elijah's baby brother😂😂
That's a poetic way of saying what Romanian mothers have been saying to their children for centuries: 'Eu te-am facut, eu te omor' - I made you, I'll kill you.
You know your world will become significantly less wonderful is Elijah starts a statement with "I recommend you..." Take the recommendations and ruuuun
Elija is more vicious and savage than Klause in a way. Klause is all raw emotion and instinct, where as Elija is just as violent and destructive but everything is premeditated.
I like that the originals are from norway descendants of vikings and when they threaten its always threats of how they wil brutally kill their enemies like vikings would do
Watching this show made people fear me way more than they did before. There’s nothing scarier for someone picking a fight to be threatened with gruesome retaliation in a very calm voice.
Best threats I've ever heard from Elijah. Number 1 I WILL NOT ASK AGAIN. Number 2 You've got quite the monster hiding in there do you wanna see mine?. Number 3 Calling klaus his baby brother that's a threat by itself. Number 4 I will unleash a different kind of nightmare.
Everyone talking as if Klaus being "loud" makes him any less scary as if y'all won't pass out of absolute terror regardless of whether he makes veiled threats like Elijah or not dangerous is dangerous 😂. If anyone here had Klaus barge in through the door i doubt you'll find him "less threatening" when you damn well know he doesn't need reasons nor will bother with negotiations before your heart and body is permanently separated while Elijah still takes time to even bother to speak to you LMAO. Klaus is predictable? Yeah but bones and organs will be ripped out of you before you get to predict how he's going to react cause he kills first then react or talk 💀😂.
Elijah to me was the only character that ever actually acted his age. He's been around a literal millennia, and his etiquette shows. So many childish personalities with Elijah being the true grown up in the mix.
To be fair with other "childish" characters like Klaus, I think that's Elijah's copying mechanism. It is suggested sometimes, that the "Honorable" role is something he has created and uses (consciously or unconsciously) in order to stay away from the Red Door. Of course I assume his personality was predisposed to well-manners before, but I think his trauma just exaggerated those features. But yeah, I would love that "millennial air" a bit more in the other Originals too. (Sorry for broken english)
@@ZurditaDinamitano it’s not a coping mechanism, his coping mechanism is his dress code, the idea that is he appears clean and neat nobody will know what a monster he is. In episode of vampire diaries, they talked about the increase of traits once you turn and used Elijah as an example stating he was the most noble one even before the turned
very much agree. i never understood how characters like Anna, Katherine, Klaus and Rebekah stayed around for hundrets of years and behaved the way they did. felt very odd and off. hell, even damon. i know its kinda the plot, but how the factual F do you not get over a pretty shortterm relationship after 180 years?
@Francisco Leyva Martin Dafuq is wrong with you. You comment dumb Klaus fan girl comments everywhere and don't even bother to at least use google translate
Me too, i identify myself with Elijah, i am the middle brother, i heve a older brother who was too free spirit to take responsibilities, and my baby brother was too headstrong an prone to anger, that i need to become the patient one and the voice of reason in my family.
"Gentleman, shall we?" is the best!!! there's the scene when Lucien kidnaps Cami and Klaus says: "if anything happens to Camille"... Elijah says: "Oh, I'm quite certain Lucien's aware... the devastating error". In that scary and threatening tone.
When he said "your attempt to subdue my baby brother niklaus"...Elijah knows he's the most badass mikaelson but lets klaus look cool in front of others. In return, Elijah always gets the highest respect in the family.
He got the best. What would he do with his life without Niklaus or Hayley? Return to being a pianist, eh? Nah, Elijah as an Original is always at his very best when he is beside Niklaus.
@@SCL111 I think he got killed off because of "Legacies". Elijah wouldn't leave Hope, because he would feel responsible for her. But in "Legacies" Alaric is supposed to be filling the parental role. But "Legacies" being a good reason is debatable
My word, I didn't realize how threatening he was on his own, like with Klaus being an absolute incredible monster on the show it makes everyone else seem so non-threatening in comparison lol. He is also so dapper in that suit, an iconic character!! I miss the Originals so much.
I have said this before & I’ll say it again, Elijah Mikaelson is the greatest portrayal of a vampire in movies or in any tv series, ever. Daniel Gillies was the perfect man for the job ✨🙌🏼
