I like how he behaves. Very mature and professional. Is explaining everything like a grown up actor. I wonder if he had a teacher or if this was his natural way to express himself.
Seems like a lot of child actors Elijah wood, macaulay culkin, haley joel osment freddie highmore ect are all wise beyond their years so mature . I wonder if their coached to be tiny adults or if they are actually just naturally gifted in this way.
Elijah Wood has always had his cute good looks working for him, but people have come to appreciate his heartfelt, emotional acting chops but without ever playing his roles over the top. Like this scene in The War Elijah is explaining having several changes of real honest human emotions in one scene. The fact Elijah was acting with this depth and barely 14 yrs. old show both his acting abilities and maturity and great parenting too to His respect for the craft and to his fellow man. Ditto to someone's comment, props to Elijah's parents helping to navigate him and protect him in his young early years through the Hollyweird jungle! Thank God and His angels must have been protecting him from all the vices, pit falls and degenerates.
Over the past 5 days I have watched 11 films with Elijah (except for Lord of the Rings .. I watched the entire trilogy in a circle for a whole month every time when I could, I lost count.) in short, it seems now I really love and appreciate him. I was born in 1994 t_t
Wow, so at 0:15 they zoom in at him staring at her ring, and it's clear later in the interview that he mouths "my precious"... Scarily prescient. Thankfully he seems to have managed his lust for eye-catching finger jewelry well enough to land the big role years later.
