I would LOVE to know how to get drilling partners! I’ve been training five years and still no one. I’m a woman in my 50’s and obviously too old to fight which I’m sure doesn’t help, but I still take my training seriously.

Hey Barry , I am a 68 year old Karateka, I want to bring fight training back to my dojo . I need to give some history. I was a mem ber of my school 30 years ago . I left when I was a brown belt .getting a black belt wasn't my goal. fighting was. I had develope my skills.I lost my job and had to give up class. I came back 15 years ago and the school had turned into a classical karate school. They stress katas and I hate katas .I am finally going for my black belt and I was told if I get a class. I can teach what I want. I want to be back combat sport training, especially for older karatekas any suggestions

Good luck getting there, if you reach for that body shot you're gonna get hit and miss, you need to talk about how do you get to the body shot there was no set up to the body shot, this would only work if someone was against the ropes. Fail
