first time ive seen a real pirate in this game in forever lol. kudos to you for not following the path of least resistance and becoming a full blown ganker like the rest of them
Also, you seem to know CMDR Skidmarks? He rightfully killed me as an opposing faction. However back then, I didn't know the implication of PvP when you're powerplaying. I spent a week learning PvP now, do tell them that I'm ready! :D
@@Neek0tine aw, thanks a lot! Our squadron is based on the fact that we are purely pirates - no ganking. It of course is harder to achieve, but we wanted to give an alternative in this regard to most other already established "pirate" squadrons like the CODE. Always nice to see it not go unnoticed o7. And yea, had some nice interactions with Skidmarks for sure! He first dicted me while I was in type 9 delivering for some CG, opened fire right when I dropped, but after I wrote sth among the lines "well, guess I'm dead lol" He actually let me live for writing sth and we even chatted some lol. Then I kinda forgot about him, but few months later pretty much the same thing happened, and I even somewhat later realised it was the same guy lol. Also really good in PVP as well, his evasion is next level.
@@cmdrHeliaxx Ah, I see. I guess the PvP folks aren't that bad after all. I've never touched PvP except that one time I killed a newbie cobra by crashing into him with my cutter (I said sorry and paid for reparations). I've spent almost 650 hours on the game and I think your video managed to push me into the dangerous zone haha, thanks again man!
@@Neek0tine I mean, there's still more of those who gank than those who don't and Skidmarks isn't really your typical PVPer, as you wrote He does mostly powerplay PVP. The hardcore crowd only flying FDLs and doing wingfights etc. aren't really some ppl I'd get along with the best but PVP is currently still the most Fun in the game for me anyways, there's also a ton of friendly not so hardcore guys you can have Fun with at any skill level. No problem 😁 I knew it was surely avaiable there. Also the distance doesn't really matter, you can basically activate it anywhere, there Is just no need doing it in populated system, because there you might just scan the nav beacon instead to get the same data.
As a lawful player, I salute you. We need more pirates. But please, we need in Odyssey. I want piracy to increase, more players to join this, this will create content for us lawfuls. I also encourage non toxic behavior and fly dangerously CMDR, hope to encounter you in Odyssey, no matter on what side :) o7
I do fly in Odyssey sometimes, there is even at least one Odyssey clip in the pirating videos I made before. I generally prefer Horizons more as it's a bit calmwr there, I don't really like when I log into Odyssey at CG, there's shit tone of people, and almost always more gankers and generally PVPers than traders 😃 I prefer my things to be a bit calmer, one trader here, one trader there... When there's noone I listen to some podcast in the background, just chilling in the supercruise... That's the way I like it 😁 but you sure might run into me in Odyssey at times too.

@@bitnick2478 don't think it's gonna work out with spear Bro 😂 I think they Are somehow linked to Ethereal Sol (altho dunno why, the man Is the biggest ganker in Horizons as of Now lmao) And I And some of my fellow CMDR's have a very bad relationship with the Guy lol.
I would certainly recommended 😃 I have definitely made much more friends in game, playing in open, then I've been succesfully killed by a ganker. If you ask me, it's definitely worth it 😁
I'm new to this game, I got nearly 10 interdictions on my first run and I escape from them successfully. All I have to do is stay in the escape vector, is there anything else to do? and also, why these pilots can't escape?
I suppose you mean NPC interdictions? These Are fairly easy to escape, but when player interdicts you, it's much harder to escape, your opponent starts winning drastically if you deviate from the ideal vector even a little bit. About what else you could do... When you Are clearly losing and you know you prob won't win, you can throttle down to 0 throttle, And by that you submit. When you submit, your FSD cooldown is much slower, than if the interdiction is succesful, giving you much bigger Chance of succesfully escaping.
As to why they can't escape... The first one tried, but as you could see I saw that He started charging the FSD, a s hitted him with a missile. That was a special FSD reboot missile, which made him unable to jump for some time. After that He gave up on escaping. The second one, I subtargetted And destroyed his engines, which also makes a ship unable to jump. He was most likely also trying to make a jump back to supercuise (low wake) and not to another system (high wake). When one tries to low wake when there Is heavier ship in it's proximity, the jump will take really long to charge. That gave me enough time to destroy his drives.
@@cmdrHeliaxx Thanks for the info. I really love how deep this game is. You are right, most of them were NPC I guess, but few interdictions are more difficult than the others. The leap between escape vectors was much larger. I am looking forward to more interdictions by players, so it makes it more exciting
@@Gok. yeah. NPC interdiction difficultness Is dependant mostly on their combat rank And your ship (how maneuverable it is, therefore how Fast you can react to the vector changes.
I love it! Keep it up :) You might want to get some text macros or something though... kinda need to let the other player know fast that they won't die if they just stop and talk :)
very good pirating! I recommend bringing a hatchbreaker because sometimes the cargo hatch gets stuck and people get all kinds of angry when they cant make a timely donation...
Everybody who saw my freighter asked me that it is crap. But when it come to pirates, they dont have chance. Krait with hold full of gold armed with multicannons and gauss cannons. No one for year of playing in open get my cargo. This is warning for all pirates: if you see Jetfire, you are in serious trouble

Well with piracy I don't really see any issue with targeting noobs. Imo much better first "hostile" interaction with other player in open than had they simply been ganked by someone. Also teaches them about just how fragile their ship can be and about reboot/repair. About 17 minutes pirates of carriebean loop, well, I like them but yes, mistakes were possibly made 😂
Mno, proti Azimuthu... Primárně to pro mě bylo: trade CG=čas na piracy 😃 ale Azimuth jsem úplně nepodporoval no, jak mohls vidět tak jsem i když někdo nováček napsal že to dělá hlavně pro prachy tak jsem ho nasměroval ať to prodává na carrieru té initiative Wytchhunt 😃
@@jesterM60 tak sice normálně preferuju pirátit sólo, ale jasný, můžu asi napsat. Bude to tipuju až bude prostě nějaký další normální trade CG což... Těžko říct kdy teď.

I'm surprised this video exist. Must have taken you a long time to find this many people to pirate from in elite dangerous. Not to mention the people that the moment they're interdicted by a pirate they immediately log out.
Well, this CG had lesser amount of people doing it in open, but still a fair amount. I'm not actually having that many people log on me, when I was starting with piracy I thought it would be worse,. It it actually isn't a real problem. Out of all the people I interdict, maybe 1/5 of them log.
My build Is in the description. And you Are right, I don't use hatch breakers. If I can't get people to stop And drop the Cargo, I don't get it. I just don't like chasing it around.
@@kykise123 today or soon tomorrow, there will be video of Thargoid Attack on the AX retrofitted Majestic class interdictor 😁 that was pretty epic, actually first time from the first Thargoid appearance those battlecruisers took part in the AX conflict zones I think 😃
Well, I do most of the time, and once you make yourself familiar with things other players can do and how to counter them, getting destroyed basically becomes a choice. It then becomes pretty safe even to play in Open :D I definitely had more pleasant interactions in open than I had unpleasant ones And of course if it gets too active for your liking, switching to solo for something is definitely viable option :)

I get interdicted sometimes too, And I'd say it's pretty well balanced, there should be clear distinction in difficulty between player And NPC. Also I do get some people who escape, I just don't usually do videos from those.
so your a pirate aye i challenge you to a 1v1 if you win i will give you 2 meta alloys if i win well i got your bounty do you accept but at least your a true pirate and not some ganker

If you wouldn't mind, you think you could Wait like a few days? I'm building kind of an experimental PVP build now And after I'm finished I'd like to see how it works.
