No joke, I originally had "cats on mars" looping for 11+ minutes but it was driving me absolutely bonkers after about an hour of editing.

Few people notice that lol. Any time I have a video with music and I lose cabin pressure, I do a crossfade, cut by about 8-10 decibels, and add a cathedral filter. Gives roughly the same effect as the game does to the audio. Also lets me just cut the music whenever and start it at a point where the ending lines up perfectly with the end of the video, as was the case with the second reboot.

Krait has sexy front thrust, just FA off, flick direction then boost into it, FA Back on once you overcome any momentum you've gathered you'll be going in the new direction :)

Yeah what he said, it's really FA-off mostly. Keeps the momentum and prevents the lateral thrusters from fighting against the weight. It's funny you say that too, because this Krait is fully B-rated and weighs over 950 tons, a full 250 tons heavier than the average Krait build. As a result, it's actually pretty chonky and slow, but rams like a truck.

Falcon Delacy really outdid themselves with the Krait line. Really beautiful ships to fly.

afaik, reverski has been looked down on since at least 2016. makes for boring fights and takes no skill whatsoever to pull off... unless you're from some group that unironically uses healies to this day

@@kablewsh472 Last I played in any sort of pvp fashion was 2018, and pretty much everyone used reverski, especially the larger craft- I never heard any complaints about it, and was actually encouraged to do it, when I was learning to fly for combat The big taboo thing back then was combat logging, which happened way more than I'd care to remember

Basically, reverski is one of the most effective tactics in gameplay of combat, and always has been. But PvP players were burned by it so many times that they are now extremely salty about it whenever someone use it, so they came up with this excuse while calling it skill issue. You know, the typical substitution of concepts. It happened i think, after majority of them learned FA OFF and needed to brag about it somehow. So now they are using orbiting and fly by in FA OFF with thermal conduit plasma, pretending this to be some sort of skill. Both approaches are equally effective really. It's just one is more salty than the other.

@@chjeremy6538 retargeting is a thing, but I've only ever seen it happen with ECM, which I don't run on any build. I would have to test it.

So sorry to hear about your home. I'm greatly enjoying my setup so far. I have a VKB Gladiator and Omni Throttle. They're much greater quality than my old T16000 and have way more buttons than I even need. They were a little stiff at the start but that can be adjusted and they break in pretty quick.

This game has insane spaghetti code, and hull resistances are busted. If you do just thermal resist reflective mirrored bulkheads and then fill the rest with kinetic/explosive HRPs, it causes increasing thermal returns for some reason: s.orbis.zone/l8g2

Because Webgear just fucking reverskis all the time. If I stop flying towards him, he instantly puts 11km between us.

@@CrimsonGamer99 what kind of f'ed up tactic is that? They afraid of cqc? I'm no PvP expert but that sounds very cowardly _and_ counterproductive: they'll never improve if they continue like this?

s.orbis.zone/l952 This is a weird build and I don't recommend duplicating it unless you know what you're doing. It works on two basic principles: 1. Weapons draw way too much power, and a shield generator would overtax the distributor. 2. This game was coded by orangutans. To detail the second principle: For some reason, running thermal resist reflective mirrored bulkheads on their own gives a solid amount of thermal resistance, but adding kinetic and explosive resistant hull reinforcement packages (which trade thermal resistance for kinetic/explosive) actually causes INCREASING thermal resistance returns. Abusing this principle leads to a hull that doesn't have much overall integrity, but an absolutely insane resistance values (and thus, 60-80% of all incoming, non-absolute damage just gets completely negated). Also webgear skill issue.

I'm rooting for the Thargoids though.

Oh yeah. This thing consistently one-shots unengineered mediums ships. Engineering is insanely broken and always has been.

@@thatsstoguy well let's see. I would say probably about 10 hours of grinding to unlock the critical engineers, 50ish hours of mat collecting (if you haven't started), another 20ish hours to unlock all the engineers, and once you've done all that, it's about 2-10 hours of work per ship, depending on the number of modules (mostly flying around to various engineers and collecting mats you've run out of along the way)

Point defenses are useless against torps

All of my ships are shitboxes. None moreso than my Adder "The Vomit Comet", which is going on 5 years old, has over 1 million light years on the odometer, and once flew to beagle point and back with a shattered canopy. The thrusters account for over 50% of the plant's power draw and haven't been removed in 5 years no matter what I equip the ship to do. It has been uparmored, downarmored, armed, disarmed, equipped for mining, equipped for PvE, equipped for PvP, equipped for smuggling, equipped for racing, equipped for exploration, equipped for ship and odyssey mat grinding, and equipped for AX research. It has over 25 confirmed player kills (5 of which were accidental). It's been beaten, shot at, interdicted, hyperdicted, reverb cascaded, torpedoed, mined, tharg'd, crashed, blown up, and rebought many MANY hundreds of times costing me an accumulated 200 million credits in rebuys and yet it's still one of my most flown ships in the entire game.

One. Lucky torp hit made me have to reboot to get the big guns back. Second time I melted the same ones off with poor heat management and had to reboot again. The point is, your reverski maneuvers are so predictable that I am able to use them to my advantage and let you get some distance so I can reboot. As for our last encounter, I hadn't anticipated the torpedoes and they somehow took out all of my hardpoints and all of my sinks at the same time, leaving me far more defenseless than I was when they hit me in this fight.

​@@CrimsonGamer99 Why are you so salty? He have only 2 weapons and torpedoes. You are well aware that if torpedoes wouldn't work, he will be left with 2 guns only. It makes perfect sense to use synthesis to make them deal damage equally to at the very least 2.5 hammers. What you are really missing from a picture, is that you multiple times was hit by the same torpedoes that you and many others claiming to be trash. I wonder, have you ever said anything along the lines "even blind fuck, can avoid torpedoes"? Players usually do say this sort of things when it comes to torps in combat.
