I'm less than a minute in, but I just wanted to say. I've just returned to the game after being away since the thargoids appeared. Well over 1k hours played. I came back for the Great Raxxla Potato Hunt. Currently, it has a little over 85% completed. I'll edit this after i get through the video. Cheers. Edit; ok not sure why you were in ross 249 but its fine. You could have counted the human signals on the 8th moon. If the count on system map vs your left info panel is different, probe the planet, there could be a crashed ship or heck even raxxla down there. You never know.
I wasn't aware the human count meant anything in game. I thought that was just showing the number of settlements on a location? Oh I see you mean to compare the map count to the left panel count? Well you need to get to 20Mm of a planet to see any locations on it. Plus, this system was unknown to me, I had no map data at all before entering it, and I just happened to be here.
@@hazenkorakagaming honking the system/fss scanning should give you the general number of human signals on a given planet. The side panel/sysmap will count conflict zones, megaships, fleet carriers, capital ships, orbital installations, surface installations, and tourist beacons as human signals. Crashed ships (note: not crash sites) are also counted as human signals but require probing as they don't pop up immediately on the info page, but will still be counted on the sys map. We have made a habit of counting signals and scanning when the count is off. Crashed ships are placed instead of procedurally generated, so the chance to find a scannable ship log or itinerary is too good to pass up.
I don't think I've found a crashed ship (other than the famous Jameson crash site which I know about) yet. Maybe I've not searched well enough, but it's something I will keep an eye out for thanks!
you have your scanner and weapons in the same category mapped to buttons. this is why it's complaining about wrong modes. combat mode and analysis mode. I suggest to map your buttons for combat and analysis in seperate fire categories. This way you get less complaints about wrong modes. (and not having to worry about weapons fire when you actually want just a scan)
@@hazenkorakagaming originally the game worked like that without combat mode and analysis mode switching. simply cycle fire groups et presto. but now you have to switch modes every time you want to do some different task. pretty annoying but it's what we have to work with. Just look at the options and put button 1 in scanner and button 2 in surface scanner, then firemode B gets two other scanners mapped to button 1 and 2. firemode C gets utilities, firemode D gets weapons selections, firemode E gets different weapons selections, etc, etc. (just look at some of my elite videos, I'm sure I will glance at that right hand panel often.)
Even tho you hear nobody about that, that felicity farseer person in the codex entry. Why would they do this? Could it not have been anyone in general? Why this person? Does she know more? How to get her to talk? Buy modifications? Trade commodoties? Hand in exploration data? Bounties?
She's a famous explorer. And engineer. And there is no information from this npc in game. I have her at Level 5 (maximum) rep and you get nothing from there. I think they just picked her as she was famous.
