Congratulations commander on reaching the edge of the galaxy! o7 Now all you need to do is aim your ship away from the galaxy and supercruise until you run out of fuel and truly become the farthest anyone has been from Sol.

imagine living there, on the edge of the galaxy. Just you and your dog, slowly fading away.

In reality there is a halo of stars that extends at least to the LMC. It'd be cool to see more systems added in an update letting players explore another galaxy, albeit a smaller one.

It would be cool if you could plant a flag or something. Leave a little beacon that says, “Bob was here.”

In theory there should be stars farther out, to a point where a chain of lonely star systems link us to the Magellan Clouds and other dwarf galaxies around the Milky Way. Now I doubt the game will ever go that far, but what an epic trip it would be to move along such a chain to be the first in an entire new galaxy! (not that your achievement is any less impressive!)

Saw the thumbnail and I thought I was gonna see the moon you were driving on just stop loading.

I'm definetly going to visit when I'll get space legs! Those are the moment's I love Elite for.

Love to imagine that there's a civilization out there that really does look at the milky way from a similar distance and wonders what other kinds of life exist and or if they do. With the almost infinite galaxies in space I can almost guarantee if there was such a civilization they would be doing the same thing as us. Trying to find a damn sign in this cosmic soup we call the universe.

And somehow the IRS will still find you.

I spent 1 and a half out there and I went for a cup of tea 1 day and came back and my ship had randomly blown up, I was gutted but I made a ticket and they rezzed my ship the guy had told me It was from heat damage lol but I was like mid system nowhere near the star.

What happens if you start supercruising out into the void?

If this is “50 LY farther out” from beagle point…. How did you get there? I wasn’t aware of any ship capable of a 50LY jump. What are you flying?

Went to the end on the opposite side and my client started crashing, and the more I jumped using boosts into farther systems... the worse crashes got. Not tried that again since. Currently headed to "The Void" myself.
