Best cold orbiting tutorial on the you tube. Other videos are too advanced and not explained simply like you. They say they are beginner but not actually. You are a great teacher.

Yep. I've been practicing orbiting Jameson Memorial. It was actually really hard at first because I'm using a controller. It's much more difficult I think. Also, I've tried to just get out there and start practicing but I keep getting interdicted by multiple Thargoids. I need to practice on just one but I can't even get to a conflict zone without being bombarded first.

I think I'll be switching my mouse left and right directions to be yaw, because the rolling is what's tripping me up. Amazing video btw.

EZ mode = Hold F, spam boost. Don't get zapped, thats it.

My question is how do you just get 1 to attack you? EVERY time I run into one, 3 more warp in within 60 seconds making the odd totally against me.

what control scheme do you recommend for a controller? im thinking up/down and yaw on the right stick and forward/back/left/right on the left, but then how do i pitch in order to aim?

Best way to get a good feel and practice orbiting, is to pop asteroids (a.k.a. deep core mining). It helps learn aiming, lead fireing projectiles while on the move, and practice at keeping your nose pointed at the target. Also helps if you avoid using collector limpets, and just bounce them into cargo off the door. Eventually you can even learn to orbit with the assyst off, and boosting around a target while always pointing directly at it.

Fantastic video, really well done. Feel far more confident I can actually be effective against the murder flowers now! Before I was just spinning around in space like a young dog with Gauss cannons for eyes!
