Of course, the teutonic knight is one of my favorite fighters. But mostly strength is not the reason for victory, but tactics, terrain and space. His slowness often causes him difficulties. It is not for nothing that teutonic monks have a long range to heal. That's why my teutonic kights never go off without monks.

One of the little (or maybe not so little) details I love about AoE is that units speak different-sounding languages depending on what area they're from historically rather than just having generic vocalizations for all of them. Like the Germanic-esque units will say things like "Ja?" (Yes?) or "Bereit" (Ready). Just makes the game that little bit more immersive imo!

Against infantry 9.5/10 Against cav 9.5/ Against range 1.5/10 I didn't give them 10/10 for infantry and cav because 99% of units can run away from teutonic knights. And I didnt give them 1/10 for range because they can tank many shots before going down.

Mangudai, Janissaries, and Conquistadors were really close matches. This would give us a better idea of their value if you did it with equal resources spent, not equal numbers, though. And if you micro ranged units.

The teutonic knights are monsters, they work almost as a tank and crush you like a bug.

wow, did not expect the War Wagons to be THAT effective. Tankyness counts for a ton. seeing that one boyar just freeze there and not fight for like 15 sec was painful. Also, DAYMN, Slingers are insanely good.

Maybe the best infantry unique unit in the game. As a huge fan of the conquistadors I was impressed what a great rate they had against them. Even bulgarians were defeated...

"Patrol In" is causing most ranged units to form a convex shape, this implies that the front most unit will be at the most disadvantageous position. The story would likely be much different even without micro, if concave shapes could be formed by default.

Teutonic knights? Their name is "Deutscher Ritterorden", German knights order is the correct translation! They were military monks like the Hospitalers and the Templars. They were founded in the 12th century. Their monastic order was nearly identical to the one of the Templars largely copied from them, and their cross is the same as the Templar cross exept that it is black on white instead of red on white. They were founde by emperor Frederic II from the Hohenstauffen dynasty, and later subject to the pope like the other military orders. Who are the Teutons? The Teutons were a Germanic tribe who before Cesar's time invaded northern Italy and were beaten. Since then there is no news about them! Heaven knows why English-speaking literature speaks of the Teutonic kights. The German knights order was founded during the 3rd crusade in Accra, and existed for centuries. But the Teutons appeared before Cesar, and then were never heard of again!

They melt to Janissaries too, considering they are cheaper.

I'm not a fan of the various ranged Elephant units not being able to fight in melee as well - the elephants just stand there getting smashed in close range and don't even attack back.. it's an elephant... C'MON MAN!

I think a great quality of life improvement for your videos would be to mute the in-game music and play one track over the top of the video to avoid that annoying clipping and listening to the beginning of the song repeatedly. Thanks for the videos, love the effort you put into them.

In the samurai vs all UU the samurai beat the Teutonic Knights, but in this video the TKs won. Why?

Interesting. Would be interesting to see equal resources versus equal resources. Sure, the elephants stomped them with equal numbers, but how many knights could you field with the resources it took to field those elephants? Are they cost effective?
