That argument is similar to the argument posed by people trying to emulate the "cannon ball" style deadlift of KK and a few others. Yes, it works for them and they're brilliantly strong lifters. That does not mean that a beginner should be learning their form right off the bat. Someone that is a beginner like shown in the video needs to learn proper, safe form first including keeping the head neutral and then add in their own intricacies once they progress to advanced.
Great information!!! Thanks for posting this information. You have shown me some auxiliary exercise that will definitely help me to improve. Thanks again
Just watched all 9 videos thinking we were going to see him work towards pulling that lift and getting better technique, How is this guys deadlift now then after all that extra work?
I'm curious about that, too. Maybe 1:40 into the very first video in this series is why. He says to maintain an upright head position as the #1 thing. By upright maybe he means this out-of-neutral position, but I don't know. I see a lot of coaching that says to keep the head neutral.
thanks for the free information elitefts, I really do appreciate it. but having all these parts is annoying...this should all be one video or at most split in half. other than that these series you put out is excellent.
technique in the deadlift is very different due to the body structure of the lifter... so they would have to do a video on at least 3 different people....
I do a way better version of this using bands. Just standing up but leaned, although more than him, and pulling the bands. I get very intense soreness in my upper back.
Using the standard size bumper plates you see in most gyms with them you can load a standard power bar up to 320kg, far higher than 90% of the population will ever need in their lifetime and you mr 135kg. Thats using the standard 25kg plates, you can also get 45kg versions at the same size. Do the math, weight denominations are really not a factor in that argument
I'm quite dissapointed that there was nothing done to correct his aboslutely ridiculous head positioning. Overall subpar compared to the SYTYCS series.
Most of these comments are very irrelevant to the video. I wonder if you chuckle heads making these dumb comments can even dead-lift your socks onto your feet. This guy is legit and knows his stuff. I would recommend this video series to any newbie.
Hahaha nearly all these comments made rant worth shit.....no idea. Head position isn't a big deal, good on ya dick! As with bumper plates these guys normally lift that heavy that steel plates are he only way to get enough weight on there. If it have abetted version than where's your video?
