Welcome to MTV Cribs, Colonial edition. Overlooking the Hudson River in Albany New York is a haunted mansion from the 1700's. The wife and in-laws of forefather Alexander Hamilton may still wander this centuries-old property as the ghostly apparitions of their 18th century selves. Creepy! (But mostly historic.)

This allegedly haunted home is one of the most historic locations in the Capital District, and the only way one can experience the paranormal there is as a guest, tour guide, Parks and Rec employee, or on their Halloween evening tours in October. Thanks to Hamilton: An American Musical, the Schuyler family has gained some interest, and we're glad their historic home is a local and national landmark 15 minutes from our own. If you hear any EVPs or see any spirits, let us know - if anything is spooky, it's news to us. 😀

Great video! I know one interpreter at the Schuyler Mansion has said that she thinks she's caught glimpses of Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton's spirit, and she believes that Eliza just sort of pops in every now and then, as though she is checking on her childhood home and making sure everything is being taken care of.

That’s so awesome, and pretty validating as far as so many of the stories go from folks who’ve had encounters. They say it’s mostly her. Exciting to have a ghost inspecting your work in their home now and again! 😅👻

I went there today and I kept feeling someone tugging my hair al throughout the tour. I asked my tour guide and she said that Angelica Hamilton (Eliza's oldest daughter) doesn't like people in the home and has been known to prank young girls.

Alexander Hamilton is my 1st cousin, 7 times removed. His father James was my ancestor uncle, and a family disgrace for abandoning his family in the Western Islands. Alexander’s mother deserves total credit for her superb parenting skills. She gave him a moral compass. Alexander’s uncle Alphonse was the only family who lived in the US when Alexander came to the colonies. Alphonse was married to a full blooded Cherokee and had one daughter, Jemima Hamilton. She married a Cherokee who was a merchant with the colonist. Their son was my 3rd great grandfather. His daughter married a German Aristocrat, my great x2. I feel Alexander’s spirit is present during these time of treason by one political party’s failed leaders and cult leaders who are in service to a foreign agent who wants to destroy the constitution and our Democracy.

@@FullDarkParanormal I have a strange feeling about Alexander’s spirit as being restless during these challenging times. As I watch the self destruction of the anti American idealogical political party based on delusions of grandeur, etc, it appears Lady Karma’s strong presence is with them. As with most cults, history teaches us this will pass, but it won’t end very well.

Amy, That is a beautifully maintained Mansion:)!! I so LOVE the yellow things and the windows bring such nice sunlight:)!! I feels like their might be ghosts, but I do not feel anything evil there. Also, I thought it was hilarious when you said, "Amy's Parents, not ghosts",LOL:)!! Ever since I was a Child, I always LOVED visiting old Mansions:)!! Thank You for sharing this stunningly gorgeous Mansion:)!! It must have been super beautiful back in the 18th and 19th Centuries, when there were no City Blocks and just the gardens with the Hudson River:)!!!

They’re keep it buttoned you and in top preserved state with all the original artifacts in there.
