First time I heard Elizabeth Cook was about 10-12 years ago. I was listening to the John Boy & Billy show while driving to work. John Boy played El Camino from the Welder CD. It was his personal CD from his music collection. I instantly fell in love with that voice. I've been hooked since. Her music is so refreshing and out of the ordinary. I also enjoy her show on SiriusXM's Outlaw Country. I've heard her compared to Dolly and the Carter Family. Her voice does sound a little like Dolly, but I think her style and attitude is more like the Carter Family, Tammy Wynette or Loretta Lynn. Strong, independent women that do things their way and are less concerned with their image and more concerned about their music. Elizabeth Cook is a breath of fresh air in Country Music.
I said this in another review that Ms. Cook is the real deal, much like Dolly Parton; it’s in her bones. But the more I listen to her I also hear the Carter Family. the real deal indeed and she even clogs. Bless her talented little heart.
God blessed her with MANY Talents. So grateful she chose to bless all of us with those talents! One of the best things about her is her heart of gold!!
@Rickie j Yeah, great song. Is Born A Sinner the name of it? I've tried to find it several places like iTunes and Amazon and I can't find it anywhere by that name.
@Rickie j Do you know the name of the song that Elizabeth Cook was singing? That's what I'm trying to find out. Want to buy the song. Haven't been able to find it but not sure I was searching the correct name.
