I love to hear her talk (and she's not to hard to look at, either)!;) She's as country as a red dirt road, and not a damned bit ashamed of it. So am I. Go ahead on, girl!
It's a Velvet Underground song written by Lou Reed. A lot of their songs had to do with urban life and I think Cook's version captures a rural transplants view of the city very well.
she has a natural gift and it is not put on also not overly perfect that is what make's her so good at singing her song's and her feet can move and she has a good little band ..
Produced by Rodney Crowell, who's worked with many greats, and was a member of Emmylou's backing band in the 70s. That should be country enough for anybody.
@levanyzzuf , hey! Elizabeth is a young country artist. She's got the bonafide cred of a drug addled family member, a Mom who sang mountain music, a Dad who did time for running moonshine, and she is not ashamed of her accent. (Crickets chirping) That makes her country enough for me. She's no Emmylou Harris or Tanya Tucker, but who is. Elizabeth is a beautiful girl, and she knows her music. I like the combination. Seeee yaaaaaaaaaaaa!
"amature pro singer" I don't like hating on people via the internet but; Seriously? She is a major label recording artist. Not sure if you've heard all the other artists that fall into that category either but never knew that was the metric by which "Pro" singers were judged.
