Reign was really hokey and certainly wildly historically inaccurate, but it did portray Elizabeth as being very strong and determined to rule on her own and protect her throne from all comers.

rachel skarstens portrayal of elizabeth is personally my favorite , shes not just the overrated ever glorious powerful queen she is always portrayed as , here her human side is shown , her flaws , her problems and she is more relatable while still showing what a great monarch she was , here she is also shown as more down to earth rather than the superior goddess who is better than everyone else , i always thought elizabeth was an overrated show off but reign has made me like and respect her . rachel did very well as Queen Elizabeth I

This show was absolutely confirmed with the favor of audience about Anne Boleyn! By actually , Elizabeth I never talked about her mother biologically , even she never do anything to find the corpse of Anne Boleyn during her reign!

It's not like she could. Not everyone in England supported her, Anne Boleyn wasn't fondly remembered and if she started digging her memory and calling her the rightful queen etc. people may have gotten upset. Remember what Anne was accused of.

Elizabeth never talked about her mother publicly, but she did show her affections in subtle ways. She gave lands and titles to Anne's relatives that were still alive, she wore this ring that opens and in it there's a portrait of her on one side and a portrait of her mother on the other side and even Elizabeth's motto some how connects to Anne's motto "the most happy." I forgot how it did tho

Wenn Tube Elizabeth l carried a necklace with a portrait found to be Anne throughout her life. ( wasn’t based off any show, actual evidence they found the necklace/ring which Elizabeth had. In a painting done of Elizabeth as well, she was wearing Anne’s famous B necklace.
