I met Elizabeth in a plant store in Carefree Arizona. She was shopping for some house plants. I later learned her mother lived in Scottsdale and Eliz would visit often. She was so kind, spoke a few words with me and left with her plants. She was alone. Absolutely the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, and those eyes...wow.
@@sandralumingu72 yes agree, she only had 14 months with Mike and was still in the "honeymoon period" , he was a lot older so think if he had lived she may have left him eventually.
This made me cry, i how happily she remembered the great moments and how sadly she remembered his death, at one moment she’s smiling and one second later you can feel her sadness, well, they’re sure together now, Rest In Peace Elizabeth and Richard, most beautiful love story ever
+-jade Grioli No you never forget. You always love one another and it is hard as hell to move on. Took me about 3 years to feel comfortable enough to move on and Im hoping for the best if I try again. Peace to you dear
-jade Grioli I agree you never forget. It's been far over a year since I've seen him, but not a day goes by that I don't miss, think and wish for him. My heart won't stop missing him no matter what reality tells me...
As Rock Hudson once said, Elizabeth loves people! She did. With PASSION! Not only her husbands and family. But every one! Her courage and determination to fighting AIDS is perhaps her greatest legacy! And she was kind and gracious to her fans. I once wrote a letter to her and surprisingly received a response which began an ongoing correspondence until shortly before her passing! She was a Dame of British BUT QUEEN 👸 of hearts 💕. RIP dearest Elizabeth. 🕊 🕊 🕊
Richard had embraced sobriety, she had not so they were doomed to flame out. I think everyone has at least one love in their life that it is just so intense that there is nothing but extremes. Things are either really lousy or really great, neither person can just accept "okay" . I've been there and it's just hell.
I'm glad she and Richard Burton got together, they were meant for each other.. both beyond gorgeous with eyes to die for. I only wish Liz could have stayed with Richard till the end, it's heartbreaking 💔 I feel her pain that he was the love of her life. They're reunited now though, God bless them both xx
I love Liz Taylor. She is the Queen of Cinema. Richard is dynamic, strong and very well spoken. He is intoxicating. What a presence and a Voice. Both together is like great chemistry on screen. In real life Liz and Richard had real class. She was a young beauty and I think one of the most beautiful young women in the world. She had the respect of the Studio System which hailed her as a great actress. Virginia Woolf is one of the best performances I have ever seen by all 4 actors.
I think part of her died when Michael Todd died - and then when Richard Burton died, I think it took so much out of her that she was completely changed.
Yes When Mike died, she lost it, then God sent her Richard, and Love grew like a wild fire. And they loved each other to much. After that her life went down hill.
@@barbielockett9321 her life most definitely in no way went downhill...she used her energy and name to fight for AIDS research and her foundation today is still helping many people
Barbie Lockett yeah she lost it so much that she had to marry her late husband’s best friend lol. Jeez did Liz stop to think how Todd might feel about this? What a self centred and selfish woman
I think they were plainly both devastated at the [twice] destruction of their marriage and life together. ... mostly to be blamed on Richard's wreckless & out of control drinking problem. Elizabeth was also obviously devastated by Burton's early demise at age 58. I think she really held onto a hope and torch flame for seeing a THIRD marriage happen. It was that kind of glorious & addictive romantic love. of course, it's a form of divine madness.
0:50 ... She is beautiful. ... When explaining something, in an answer, she always sounds like she's reciting lines from a script. Like she did when the detective interviewed her, in her famous movie, _"The Mirror Cracked"_ . ... Much, too, the same way Liza Minnelli, tells a story too. ... R.I.P.
Yes. It's like: "the love of my life is gone. will I EVER see him again?" ... it's a very VERY difficult thought & dilemma to come to terms with. Whatever else may be said about ET: she was a VERY beautiful and amazing woman. she was fabulous, ... and RB often described her in just those kind of terms.
Those guys had charm -- that's what most guys lack today. Some guy might look good, be in shape, but have no confidence, manners, or charm. Something to think about. I feel kind of bad for women today who don't meet good-looking charmers often.
I really think alcohol ruined the relationship between Elizabeth and Richard. I do believe she really loved Mike Todd and if he had lived, there might never have been a Richard and Elizabeth but, of course, we will never know.
@@lepetitchat123. We all know that under the influence of alcohol people do things that they might not do under normal circumstances so alcohol did play a big part in their marriage.
I think that Elizabeth is so right when she says that you can love someone too much.........such a powerful and deep love can make you feel almost crazy. Mike Todd's death left her shattered.....and yet it seems that she and Richard were absolutely destined to be together. It must have been very hard for the other loves in both of their lives, especially Richard's wife Sally Hay, who he was married to when he died........I am sure that Richard (and Elizabeth) DID love the other people in their lives.....BUT.....their deep soul connection meant that for him, there could only ever be Elizabeth and for her there could only ever be Richard. A truly beautiful love story.....I so hope they are together now.
richard didn0t love saly, she maried her on a whim to spite elizabeth. He poroposed to elizabeth in 1981, she turned him down. Then in 1984 he sent her a letter days before he died.
THIS IS THE WAY SHE LOOKED in her Final Yearsand it was Great!-SUCH A BEAUTY. When She was Close do death... her appearance deteriorated and she loss quite a lot of weight due to her illness. IF she hadn't really gotten so sick the last two years of her life, this is the Face we would have seen til the end.
A lot of people talk about Mike’s importance in her life but just like Clark Gable and Carole Lombard, I’m pretty sure the only reason he remained so important to her was because his untimely death glorified him in her memory. And just like Clarke and Carole, it was entirely possible they wouldn’t have worked out in the long term. Richard on the other hand was with her long enough for her to get to thoroughly know the good and the bad and accept all of it.
I can see her point with Richard. They were not the norm or on a reality level. I think Had Mike Todd lived, he was more than enough for her. Bigger than like like she is. I moved to VA in 1978, while Liz was married to Sen. Warner. She was very heavy, I am sure close to 300 lbs. She ran me off the road in her Mercedes like a whirlwind coming out of no where on a long lonely highway. That was not a good match for either one of them. Wonderful, dignified man. Not for Liz though.
I think that Liz and Richard were both damaged people, wounded somehow. I don't know what happened to Liz except that she was a child star I believe.......
I hv really never come across such a beautiful woman in my life....being such a golden hearted human being which eventually reflects on her face ...specially her smile
Very difficult to compete with a ghost. People who die suddenly or young we tend to get more sentimental about... unfulfilled potential etc. but I would still say RB was the greatest love of her life. Their astrological chart reveals a lot about the public aspect of their relationship and why it thrived in the public arena. It could not have helped than been a very public love affair.
I understand what she’s saying my husband and I were soul mates we had such a deep connection and wonderful life it’s hard to explain but sometimes it’s like you were made for each other..
Тейлор богиня, но она актриса и в жизни играла тоже и в этом интервью играет роль. Если ещё можно поверить в чувства к Майку и Ричарду, то остальные её мужчины никакие, жаль, что она была такая всеядная.
I think Todd was her soulmate which is two souls that blend into one but Burton, he was her twin flame. Twin flame is one soul split into two bodies, I think if Todd lived and she met Burton I still think she would’ve cheated on him eventually cause nothing beats a twin flame, twin flame is you, it’s your mirror so
Richard was a sex addict. He also loved big money, fame, celebrity. Charming narcissist s only think of themselves. He probably drunk because he knew that he was a sex addict and narcissist. She drank because of dealing with one. I think her relationship with Mike Todd was healthier
FURIOUS LOVE is a book chronicling Elizabeth and Richard's love story. New book GRIT and GLAMOR supposedly is authorized (by family or estate 🤔) may add more insurance insight. I always think that if Mike Todd had lived, things would have been so different! Elizabeth will always be the greatest star 🌟 of all!🏆👸 ✨ 💖 . There is another site Elizabeth Taylor Memorabilia that has much on Elizabeth.
What she is describing sounds like a relationship with a narcissist or a sociopath.. charming, intense, high highs and low lows and almost like your addicted even though they hurt you. I think her marriage to Mike Todd was a healthy relationship and he treated her with love respect and admiration as she deserved. Her friendship with Michael Jackson was also an important and fulfilling relationship.
Nah Mike treated her pretty much like Richard. Two volatile personalities who loved to fight. It’s a passionate marriage but is it any surprise that it didn’t last?
Most Taylor/Burton critics could never comprehend their kind of passion and love. The lives of most of them are boring, like white bread. Their jealously is always an underlying current with them. Those religeous critics are the worst. With their holier-than-thou attitudes they make a mockery of their religion. They become gossipers and God hates gossipers ! We should all be so fortunate to experience the passion and love they felt for eachother.
Alexis - That's right I am a feminist and proud to be. You are a macho, no doubt about it. I have been loved and am still being loved,my man is a feminist, thank God.
the love of my life is my ex mandy who looks so much elizabeth taylor...I still miss her 3 years on...up to yesterday I cried in my kitchen thinking about mandy...
TRUE SOULMATES OPERATE ON THE EFFORTLESS LOVE PARADIGM. WITH THE HUGE EGO,S OF TAYLOR & BURTON CONSTANTLY VYING FOR THE SPOTLIGHT,THE ROLLERCOASTER SHE SPEAKS OF WAS INEVITABLE.
I agree with you Marcos dear, I was also a huge fan of Elizabeth and my loyalty is to her, but I'm sure you and I can also say we both really like Dick. Keep in touch dear one. I always enjoy hearing from her other fans.
The issue had nothing to do with love they both were very toxic and addicts so you can’t have a good relationship. People back in those days didn’t really talk or do real therapy like they do today just listening to her talk she’s very uneducated about relationships in her emotions which is why her relationships never lasted and it’s impossible for relationships last when you have addiction going on
That's wrong. Mike Todd was a Gemini. It was Nicky Hilton who was a cancerian and it was him who beat up Elizabeth Taylor. That's why she divorced him.
@@deborahwhitney9427 Todd was also abusive with Liz but she was abusive back, she found physical abuse in a relationship sexy and exciting. Todd was also abusive with his first two wives.
Yes but she beat him up back, she found physical abuse sexy and exciting. She would try to goad Fisher and Burton into fighting but they wouldn't do it especially Fisher
Aaaahummm..... Two loves ? She was really unsure with herself? unsure with the mean she married cause it would just end up in a divorce ...... I got sick already with Liz and Dick !!!! Many people have already portrayed Liz and Dick ...... The world wants something new !!!! Why not Liz and Mike !!!! Or perhaps not romance just friendship like Liz and Monty which may show there great friendship and the day lLiz saved Monty from the crash !!!! I'm just saying ......
Mr. Burton dumped Ms. Taylor twice for much younger women. He loved Ms. Taylor as she was in her thirties, but it is ridiculous to think he would want to get back with her when she was in her fifties, or older.
