really for my own reference because having to scroll through the video for what I need is very tedious and the imgur instructions are broken. Plus the layout of all the parts we need isn't very clear. 00:00 Arm Frame 01:34 Leg Frame 04:35 Torso Frame [Pelvis] 06:59 Torso Frame [Chest] 13:50 Arms Cont. LJ Trinket Time [since I have no clue what that are supposed to be at first view] 18:50 LJ-Trinket 20:32 Skirt 21:18 22:30 23:15 24:02 24:52 KULTA WITH CHAIN 25:15 FrameTron Assemble 26:30 Armor Time! Legs 27:18 Lower Torso, those Trinkets 30:10 RAAABBBBS 33:50 Neck Trinket 37:15 Staff 41:45 Makooti Reborn
Something very tedious for me is trying to go through two bins to find parts especially those black things that go straight with a ball joint and have to pin or whatever holes
I finally have this badboy built, and WOW! Holy smokes, this is by far, the most detailed G2 model ever. And the best Makuta model ever! The build was very easy thanks to you Eljay, but building the armour from the circular piece up got pretty tricky. Some shells were a very tight squeeze to finally get on, but I managed. The shoulder pad assemblies were REALLY tight.
Don't worry too much about it but just to clarify for anybody picky like me, there are two more inaccuracies than the ones mentioned in the corrections video: 1 - the top armour pieces on the chest plate are attached using 4 angle bends (where the chain connects) when they should be 5 instead. 2 - the centre of the chest plate is attached incorrectly, instead of using two half busheens to hold the pin in place instead use a grey technic lift arm with one hole and one axle cross. The hole will attach to the blue peg you left exposed within the torso and the axle hole with hold the pin used the attach the centre of the chest plate. This correction will stop the chest plate from wobbling.
It was a True Thrill to build, this Amazing Set with the Help of yours TTV! I'm really happy to have this Figure, thanks for the help of Eljay! :D It sad, that this "Set" will "never" receive a Serial Number from Lego, but I'm proud to be a part of a Community, that is this Supportive towards the others!
He is technically using the word right, just in that some elements are Asymmetric along their OWN central axes, meaning that they require mirroring, as opposed to self-symmetrical components which could simply be duplicated exactly and attached to either side.
ThatRedHeadGuy Fair enough. I'm with you on that; I considered getting duplicate sets when the 2015 Summer wave brought back combo models, but realized that I didn't want to make that investment and that the combo models really weren't that great to justify it anyway. On the other hand, if the combo models had been better, like the Kaita's of G1, I may have done it.
ThatRedHeadGuy There's that, though technically if you adjust for inflation, they actually are the same price, buuut I won't get into an economics discussion here lol. That said, you're not wrong that the 2015/2016 sets are priced a little out of range for the target demographic, especially considering the ton of other products that are more affordable, rewarding and accessible that are vying for teen's attention and money.
Pretty much all the axles Elijay calls 5-long are 4-long. Also, there's supposed to be a gold foot behind his loincloth-like feathers. The gold Umarak the Destroyer horns are attached to that with some more pieces which I figured out, but I don't really want to type. Anyways, thanks for making this video, for those who haven't figured him out yet!
So, 2 pictures of it. One of the official model (hard to spot the foot): board.ttvchannel.com/uploads/db5640/optimized/3X/0/5/057919f9240f1b496f35328711bc3d316d3a70ac_1_690x435.jpeg And one of someone's build, showing the connection: board.ttvchannel.com/uploads/db5640/optimized/3X/4/0/406acbf6eb637f796d42ae1aa67a982b9d3ab19b_1_375x500.jpeg
I feel like I owe everyone a correction, since people waited so long for me to do this and it was still wrong. Thank you for linking me that, as it means we're not the only ones who thought it was made that way. =P Those instructions are excellent, and I'll certainly be recommending them. I don't think I'll mention the chest axle piece method he uses, since we have no way of determining which one is right and which is wrong, and in the end they both do the same thing. Regardless, video will have to come out on Vessel and then here later. Once again, I do apologize to everyone for these inaccuracies. I'll do my best to correct them post-haste.
I have all the sets required to build this, but I don't want to disassemble them... one day I think I'll just get all of them used off of Bricklink. I do have both an extra LoSS and an extra Uniter Tahu, so I guess there's only 5 other sets to worry about. Bionicle 2015-16 is not currently one of my priorities though, and even then completing my base collection comes before assembling this guy. He's like a magnum opus.
I've recently accomplished just this, I think this is something that most fans can only dream of, but if you have the means to do this, absolutely you should. G2 is such a beautiful collection and this guy is an absolute centerpiece of any bionicle collection
@@thecaptainslog9581 Unfortunately it seems like disassembling the copies I already have seems much more viable than actually getting additional ones, last I checked G2 sets are going for an arm and a leg even used, but you probably know this
I would love to know exactly what parts from umurak destroyer are used, because it's not getting released where I live. I know I don't have the beast jaw piece however I kind of don't want to go through this if I get half through then realise I can't actually make it
So i managed to build it, minus the arm-gear functions. I also missed out on a few accessory parts which inolved 'glatorian necks', as i have a sand-kopaka moc that i didnt want to take apart. I had to substitute some of those ccbs claw pieces from LEWA simply because i didn't have enough. However, for the most part i have a fairly accurate makuta 'set', which is HUGE.
@Ruaridh Groenestein it happens to me all the time, but in my case i just can't find the pieces. I know for sure that i have them, it's just that when my moc is almost cokplete, i just can't find like 1 - 3 pieces i need for finishing it.
So due to Tahu Uniter being ridiculously expensive I was wondering if I could get a pieces used list from Tahu for this model, as I believe it would be cheaper to buy the separate parts I need over the whole set. If parts can be used from another set (IE pins and axles) then they'd be through all the other sets before Tahu. I was able to get every single other set for the combiner, and I do have a Tahu Uniter, but I plan on keeping him together, and using the parts from him then buying whatever I used for the combiner. But having an idea of what I need to purchase would be really useful so I know what hole i'll be getting into. Thanks to whoever can get me the list!
Is it possible for you to say something about how many parts from each of the sets that make this up is actually needed? For instance I imagine that there are relatively few parts from, for instance, uniter Onua in this model, so it might be better to buy the parts needed separatly instead of buying an entire Onua. With other sets that make up this model, that contribute with more of their pieces, it may be just as well to just buy the entire set?
I have a question for you. If Ekimu were to have Ultimate Power like Makuta, what will his form look like??? Is it gonna be different from Makuta's ultimate power form??? Can you make a moc of Ekimu's Ultimate form???
I need some help please. :( My Son just got done building Makuta and he's missing the black ball on the top of the staff. Would any of you know which series it's from?
Not piece for piece. If you want all the orange to be purple, you'd be stopped by the claw pieces and technic beams. Although you could come really close.
TTV Eljay I knew the claws would have to be gunmetal that's why I just wanted to know if all the trans orange parts existed in trans purple, black or gunmetal grey. And the flames on the staff would have to be changed to the more surge electric blue/yellow
Well if we can get the money i should be able to find these in stores easily 'cause in Australia G2 sold so badly that there are still 2015 sets on sale
This is good, but you've already told us that it is impossible to pose. But I'm just grumpy that I only am off by two sets to make this and we don't even get to buy it.
He is so badass ._. so roughly what would it cost to get the sets to build him now? I mean as it is just for a combination model it would be fine if things like the box and instructions were missing, even some of the parts you don't need.
will you guys still report on any bionicle (concept)art that gets released? I know that BZP still has some awesome unseen pics of art and stuff from during their trip to lego. And soon the artbooks will be given away and we'll probably see scans of those :D
Help me understand this: This set requires 15 small black balls with an axel hole going through them. Tahu has 4. UtD has 4. LoSS has 2. MMvSG has 4. That's only 14! None of the other sets have any!! So where is everyone who is building this set getting the extra ball from??? Is it just me or...?????
I'm building this set as we speak, and I'm just about done. My problem is that I don't have the last ball to put on the end of the staff. Sure, it's for aesthetic purposes and I could just use a different piece, but even still... are one of my sets faulty or something? Nobody has seemed to bring up this issue, either... no video, no blog, etc.
i bought some of them secondhand through a reliable seller and one of the sets had a spare black ball, so i assumed that it came from the actual set since he even sent them in the original boxes taped over, if that's not the case then...I truly don't know what's up
OsTheBarbarian luckily, I kept all of the extra pieces in a little baggie so I can fish through that and see if there are any spares. But it threw me off so bad while constructing the model lol.
friction joints aren't my favorite piece. they restrict movement at most times because they end up disconnecting the other joint pieces. Though they do help with posing.
The Toys R Us locations in my area have Bionicle sales all the time. Might have to pick up extras of some sets to build this. Still can't find Ekimu though
True, Eljay always has a problem with open pins, axels and ball joints but this one isnt as bad since the staff makes it look like a chrystal ball in a magical fire staff or something
Hey Eljay, can you leave the names of the songs that you use in the description? Specifically the Recap Review intro music and the music from this video? Or all of the TTV intro music in general
It's interesting that the part with Ikir's head, there are different ways of making it (from the official photos themselves, they use two different methods!).
