We've been waiting, waiting and waiting some more to see some elk calves. Finally they are here. We watched the herd for 20 minutes or so. Then the lead cow barked and off they went. I don't know what disturbed her as our presence in our truck hadn't bothered them for quite a while. But, they soon came back out of the trees and started grazing again.
Then on the way down the mountain we ran into a fairly nice bull high up on a hillside.
