This is a serial place in the Smoky Mountains. Elkmont has one of the largest campgrounds we have seen. It was closed today 1/25/2021. The history of Elkmont is extensive and you can find several good articles with a Google Search. Elkmont is in the Smoky Mountain National Park and is maintained by the Park Service. Today I got the impression they were renovating the houses. The population of Elkmont is ZERO. This video was recorded using the hand held 4K 60fps setting of a GoPro Hero 8.
