Who cares if Azerbaijan is in Europe or not? They're members of the European Broadcasting Union like Israel and Morocco, so they automatically qualify to enter Eurovision. And I absolutely love the song. I read a couple of years ago that the Eurovision powers-that-be were considering having a guest non-Europe country enter each year, which would technically allow USA and China etc to participate, but I'm not sure if there is any truth to it.
This is the shit (in a good way)! I knew this or Lipstick would win the eurovision. I was so certain that I could bet my whole life on those two. :) This is a good song. I think many of the haters are mainly from Sweden... It's so sad that the people in Sweden are egoistic. I know this because I live in Sweden. Amazing performance, and congratulations!

This song is such an enigma tbh. Like I've never met a single person who really likes it, let alone someone who says it should have won. Like with most winners you usually find at least one or two people who STAN them but it's hard to find someone who even finds this one okay-ish. It's such a mystery as to how it won when nobody really cares about it or just replies with "X should have won instead" when you mention it
It it is really sad how hostile people are towards this song, people must have been shell shocked over their win, as no one saw it coming. It is a beautiful song. The more I hear it, the more I like it. Well done, Azerbaijan! Greetings from Estonia.

Why so many hateful comments? It is not the singers' fault that they've won. And people of Azerbaijan are also not to blame. The tune is nice, the live singing is awful. Blame the people of Europe or the voting system for this result. Leave the singers alone.
When the song started to climb up to the winning place, the only thing I thought was, what song was that? That's how big of an impact it made on me, I couldn't even remember it

If Azerbaijan was already allowed to participate, they should also be allowed to win when they deserve it. And this time they deserved to win. Period. Whether countries like Turkey, Israel, Azerbaijan, Georgia, etc. should be allowed to participate at Eurovision in the fist place is a whole different question that should not be (ab)used to undermine their success when they do participate. Same old 4 chords that you hear in every song. Really nothing here. hear it for the first time here, but sounds like i've heard it 100 times already. It does not sound bad, but it does not sound refreshing at ALL. How did they need a swedish composer for something as simple as this?
