Thru last week and this week I just burst out singing the chorus of this catchy tune by The Great Miss Ella Fitzgerald and I don't know why! I grew up with my Dad playing jazz on the piano at nights at our home and I've been a big fan of Miss Ella and Louis Armstrong for over 35 years now. They don't compose songs like this anymore....sadly!
A-tisket, a-tasket A green and yellow basket I send a letter to my mommy On the way I dropped it I dropped it, I dropped it Yes, on the way I dropped it A little girlie picked it up And took put it in her pocket She was truckin' on down the avenue Without a single thing to do She went peck, peck, peckin' all around When she spied it on the ground She took it, she took it She took my yellow basket And if she doesn't bring it back I think that I would die A-tisket, a-tasket A green and yellow basket And if that girlie don't return it Don't know what I'll do Oh dear, I wonder where my basket can be Oh gee, I wish that little girl I could see Oh, why was I so careless with that basket of mine That itty-bitty basket was a joy of mine A-tisket, a-tasket I lost my yellow basket Won't someone help me find my basket And make me happy again no no no no (Was it red?) no no no no (Was it blue?) no no no no Just a little yellow basket A little yellow basket
Yep, it really gave me a massive heartsore. It's extremely great, and at first I refused to read it because I really don't fancy "sad" endings. You do not know how much this manhwa made me feel. I felt something indescribable. Have a great day, Li Huan.
Just imagine we played this game as a child but this woman was able to take nursery rhyme and create a melodic song. this alone shows the genius in Black people who were looked upon a nothing!
Listen to Stevie Ray Vaughan sing about ‘a green and yellow basket’ at Montreux, Switerland, circa 1985…to find the loving respect...?you Americans should be PROUD of yourselves, and well, have ALL goneBernie. Doncha want each other to live?…coming from an outsider-lover of American : Blues:Jass:Rock.
A class act with a seller voice.... You didn't see her half naked or with tats all over .. she knew she had the x factor.. and it showed..... Salute Miss Fitzgerald..... xoxoxoxo.
