Him saying she is not mother material because she gets overwhelmed with her child is crazy. Saying she is not mother material because she is masculine and gets irritated and overwhelmed with motherhood is crazy. Every mother, the most feminine women, single, married, all get overwhelmed with their kids, the playing, crying, all of it. We ALL need breaks. And him calling her a chipmunk for wanting to speak up for herself and for things to be right. He loves to talk down on her. Truth is she is doing 95% of the parenting. And if you don’t approve of her having a babysitter, then pay for all her bills so she doesn’t have to work and can stay home with her child and be a mom full time. But she has to make money so who will watch her child while she does that? If you are the type to not approve of babysitters, you should be the type to have all her expenses paid. Don’t pretend to be against something when you’re not really about that real man life.

I appreciate your restraint in allowing him to expose himself in the worst way. There is no point in arguing. He doesn't know what a single parent is and says he only sees his child once a week. The bar for fatherhood is literally under hell! At the end of the day, the child knows which parent is actually present and active in their lives.

Just because hes a man that knows who he is, all i have seen is women attacking and belittling him for no reason at all. Lets go to school for a second I know it's hard to gain knowledge sometimes but let's try. In basic psychology because she didn't have a father figure in her life, basic psychology dictates that there would be a natural sense of appreciation for any father figure type around her. Everyone should be grateful for everything period. That's just a healthy mentality in general, anything more than that becomes entitled or spoiled because life is literally a gift and miracle everyday when you wake up. And he doesnt give the bare minimum the guy takes photos with his children. Try someone else you are just blatantly lying to again belittle and break down a man. Heaven did help that child. Yes! 👏🏻Well said! We need to be talking about this a lot more to the youth. I have been preaching the same thing for years now about choosing your husband or wife wisely and I feel like the #1 most important is choosing who you will procreate with. Kids are not accessories, kids need healthy parents to stop this tug-a-war or passing on the generational curses because they haven't grown into healthy adults.

Sooo he has 2 other children (probably in Philly) and wants to be deemed father of the year because he takes care of 1 out of 3 children once a week for a few hours? Then told Elle that "she doesn't understand the black man's struggle" but opted out of blackness when asked about black women. He's definitely a Pookie. He uses his light skin, light eyes and height to couch surf. Also, he only gives money when she asks. If she doesn't ask, then the child doesn't receive because he doesn't automatically give to the child, he has to be reminded to. A drive by daddy that takes the child for a few hours (maybe buy them some shoes) then drop the kid back off at his mother's house.

And in the case of divorce the man is usually on the hook for child support anyway...so he cant always be there coz he has to work and provide sometimes without even the guarantee of custody.

Some men can’t even afford to care for a child primarily and that’s why mothers take on that responsibility when not married to those men. How many men actually want full custody of their children? Child support exists for a reason some women take advantage but is meant for the child. And having children takes more than money. Not just because you have the finances to have a child means you should be a parent

@@Mslee8320we could talk about children born out of wedlock separately...coz i believe in that case the woman should bare the majority of responsibility because she has the majority of the control when it comes to contraception if it isnt a case of sexual assault. But in the case of a married couple even if they both work...in a majority of cases...the man brings home more money than the woman. Its really not common for women to marry men that make less than them unless youre both super rich. And therefore the man should carry the majority of the financial burden for the household even in the case of divorce. But how the system is set up currently...an accidental pregnancy can happen...the woman can forgo every opportunity for contraception at every step and chose to keep the baby even against the mans wishes because the man it rich and the court system in terms of custody and child support is heavily weighted towards the benefit of the woman and only nominally is it weighted towards the benefit of the child. If you have stats that suggest that a majority of fathers don't want to be in their child's life I'd like to see them coz I believe that's heavily overstated. But if it's a woman's choice weather or not to keep a child born out of wedlock how come it isn't a man's choice weather or not to support that child financially especially if he can be denied custody in court?

@@monicac2834 “give nothing in return” like I said you have a different view about human relationships which I don’t agree is wrong but I don’t care about what other humans did or are doing to flourish Im doing what I think is the right thing for me. And for me that’s being kind to people with no expectations in return because I just like helping people I don’t care about the return because I follow the steps of my Lord. I have the lowest expectations from others and the highest expectations for myself. I see humans (myself included) as flawed. So helping people is just my way of trying to correct this error.

I see both sides. She clearly has 90% of the responsibility. As men if we step up and show women, we are capable of taking on more of the responsibility it would crush their entire argument. Just because biology dictates she has the child, that shouldn’t mean she should assume all the stress. Dude clearly has more than one child and can’t seem to balance the responsibility with one of his children mothers. This is why women become bitter. She handles all of, if not most of the responsibility but he still is free to go off and create a whole other family. He said it himself for the little time he has his son he’s frustrated. Hell, imagine how women feel and they have the child most of the time. With that said, she still has to let him be a man and not dictate times and if the child can go see his family. She seems hurt and has every right to be. She now has a child and emotional baggage with a man she will never be with. You can’t tell him he needs to do more and not set what that expectation look like. She needs to have a conversation with him, they discuss what they feel is fair to sustain the lifestyle they both expect for their son. Once established, they come to an agreement financially of what that looks like monetarily and he should be held to that standard monthly. This needs to happen before she even considers another relationship as it will remove unnecessary drama. Nothing worse than a bitter angry, scorn baby mama. If she humbles herself, open her heart and remain optimistic to the possibility of love, she will eventually find the right man.
