@@justinchalifoux4424 I don't know where you're from, but the majority of people from where I live think climate change is a hoax :-/ Not denying that there are people who are trying to help, but there's not nearly enough. Very few people are willing to give up daily conveniences for a threat that for the time being is mostly unnoticeable. It's not until New York City gets flooded that people will start thinking "huh, maybe should have done something about this beforehand".

@@kenjutsukata1o1 Honestly, climate change is the most pointless thing we're ever worried about. Yes, the climate is changing. And guess what? There's NOTHING we can do about it. The Earth changes of its' own accord. It's always changing. Nothing remains the same, and nothing will remain the same. The earth has been both a ball of fire, and a ball of ice in its' existence. The climate will change because that is naturally what will happen. We cannot stop it, and even if we somehow could we'd simply be interfering with the natural process of our planet. Again. We have to adapt to the planet, not the other way around. If we keep interfering with the planet then we'll do more damage than we've already done. You know the changes we CAN make? Stop tearing down forests to build malls, and car dealerships. Stop getting rid of farms so we outsource things, and import them. We can stop relying on fossil fuels which will now eventually become obsolete, and the creation of which only damages the planet further We can decrease exhaust fumes, and find alternatives to make the things we need to. These are all things we CAN do to take care of the planet, but nobody ever will because everyone's too busy trying to stop something that is inevitable, and is actually something natural that the planet is doing on its' own, and would have done regardless. We could live in a perfect, futuristic utopia, and the climate would still be changing right now. Full stop, focus on problems we can fix, and stop thinking we can tell the planet what to do, because we will fail, and waste time that could be used doing something useful.

Yes, Ellen lost her show, but that means jackshit for her when she's already absurdly famous with millions of dollars to her name and you've got literal convicted criminals like Chris Brown managing to keep a career (or the ostensibly "cancelled" people like Louis C.K. or Jimmy Fallon), "cancel culture" is just a fancy new name for the same type of controversies that hit Mel Gibson and Kramer from Seinfeld but with the same increase in concentration that everything gets when put on social media. You'll have to forgive me when I have neither sympathy for these people nor faith that they're suffering anything more than a bump in the road of their careers (or a boon if they pivot to attract their new-found supporters because someone calls them out on their shit).
