Hello friends! Yep, I jumped on the pixie bandwagon... go figure! I've always worn primarily long styles, but it was time to bring in some new styles. Let me know if you wear any of these or if there's one you recommend I try! Thanks for visiting! xoxo Marlene
@@MarlenesWigChatStudio I have become obsessed with wigs in the last few months as a friend of mine wears them due to her thin hair. I have a couple picked out as my 1st's, but I could only wear one in the winter as I'm so hot natured. I'm now seeing some different styles and colors that I'm interested in. I like Reese and Sky by Noriko and I like some of the pixies, but I feel guilty as I have a full head of hair I just don't want to fool with anymore.
Hi Jackie, Reese and Sky by Noriko are really pretty styles and great if you like volume since both styles have a good amount of permatease. As for fooling anyone, I have thick hair and lots of it. I wear wigs because I love to change my color, length and style every day plus I dislike sitting in a salon, and with wigs, I never have a bad hair day. The way I look at it is that I change my outfits, shoes, and jewelry everyday, I also change my hair. We each have to do what works best for us. I think that if you want to change your style or color for the day, it's not really a matter of fooling anyone but rather wanting to change the look and feeling pretty in what you wear. Do what works best for you! xoxo Marlene
You look fantastic in all if these Marlene! You can really pull off these grays beautifully. Even the one that you mentioned leaned warm looked beautiful on you! Still haven't delved into the pixies, wearing mostly mid-lenght styles. But you truly look great in all styles and colors.
Hi Susan, thank you so much for visiting and the compliment. I've always worn mid-lengths and longer with a few chin lengths sprinkled in. I never thought I'd like a pixie, but I like them much more than I ever thought. xoxo Marlene
Thanks Marlene, I am not a fan of Pixie's for me but I LOVE Ava and it appears they have it in Polar Silver Shaded so I might try that one. I also really like the color of the last one!
Pixies are my favorite, so thanks for this video. Also, thank you for your honesty. I've seen other reviewers who show wigs with noticeable wefts in the back, but they never say anything about them!
Hi Lourdes, thank you so much for stopping by. You're very welcome! I do my best to provide as much info about the wigs as I can in order for viewers to be able to make a decision whether a style will work for her or not. xoxo Marlene
When i saw you in Pixie lite i was like YESSSS! Omgosh you look amazing in all of these. I never would have dreamed in a trillion years that I would wear Pixies and now they are my hair. Beautiful Marlene ❤
I live in Phoenix and it's so hot I have hardly had a wig on in months. So, really appreciate the reviews on shorter styles cause that's the direction I find myself going. Thanks for your great reviews!
Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by! It has been pretty hot in FL too. I've always worn long hair and clipped it up, but I think these styles are summer perfect. xoxo Marlene
These look great on you, Marlene! I wear and love Link in Pearl Blonde Rooted. I also have another Ellen Wille style in Pastel Rose. It really is a lovley colour - very subtle. Great to see a review on EW. She doesnt get as much air time as she deserves. It's a shame, because she does fantastic low density pieces, and for petite sized wearers, is an absolute Godsend! So, thankyou for sharing these xx
You can totally wear short styles; looking very stylish!!! :) You living in FL with the heat & humidity short would be great. Love Elan, Relax, Gilda Mono and Satin on you the best. Although all look cute on you. I just bought Relax in Champagne Rooted, received it yesterday. Living in TX, we have hot weather from Mar-Oct & humid too…. Well now I have to add Elan, Satin and Gilda Mono to my list. I have 2 Torinos for my short gals.. now I am digging the short-dos LOT!
These pixies look great on you, Marlene. I love pixies especially during the summer months. I have EW Relax & Link in the pastel pink color and I enjoy wearing both. I’m also liking Gilda Mono in Ice Blonde. Glad you reviewed her too.
I’m a pixie girl myself, it’s my to go style here in Fl, also. Thank you for showing all of them, they all look fantastic on you ❤ Love, love the Link 😍 And Gilda mono, omg ❤
Wow, these styles, and colors, look great on you, but so many of those you show look fabulous on you. I really like Satin by EW on you. I wasn't familiar with that style. I wish I could wear that color. I own Link in Rosewood Rooted but even after 2 years, I haven't gotten the courage to wear her. I use to wear my bio hair in an edgy pixie and yet now....Another great video, Marlene. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Hi Erinne, thank you so much for visiting and the lovely compliment. Have you considered taking baby steps in wearing your Link? What I mean is wearing it a few hours around the house for a couple of days and admiring yourself in the mirror. After a few days, wear it to the mailbox or a walk around the corner. Maybe in a week or two, take a drive to a mall in the next town over where you won't encounter anyone you know and wear your Link. I think that taking those baby steps helps gain some confidence to wearing a wig. xoxo Marlene
👋🏻👋🏻 Marlene, I have Relax in sandmulti rooted. LOVE her❣️ Love her flippy back and the front and crown I either sleek down or fluff up. To me this version of “sandmulti rooted” is the perfect “BRONDE”, very similar to RW shaded cappuccino. Love your videos ❤
Hi Martha, thank you so much for visiting! I have Relax in Black Cherry Mix on the way, but now I'm going to need a Sand Multi Rooted. Thank you so much for letting me know. Love Relax! xoxo Marlene
I’ve always worn mid to long length but bought my first pixie, Perry by Estética in a gray. Everyone loves it and I’m really loving it too. Never thought I would. Just ordered Risk. I love the Ellen Wille pixies and love these colors. My bio hair was a beautiful long silvery gray. These colors would suit me fine. I agree with you, I love the grays on the pixies and I also love rooted colors on them. Thanks for this review.
Hi, thank you so much for visiting. I love Ellen Wille pixies. I just purchased the new Jump and it's perfect. I haven't tried pixies from any other brand besides Ellen Wille and TressAllure. I need to give Estetica pixies a try! xoxo Marlene
Love Gilda on you. I will be looking into her. I despair with EW’s colours. I waited so long for Relax in metallic blonde. It took months to get to Australia. When it got here it was very harsh in colour. I have read all about how they apply the colour differently depending on the style and I understand that is very creative but it does make it difficult for us, the customers. Thank you for the review. We will be heading into summer soon.
Hi Julie, thank you so much for stopping by. Yes, EW colors can be challenging for sure and as you saw in the video how different Metallic Blonde Rooted is between styles. I'm so sorry you waited so long for it, and the color didn't work, but I can certainly understand why. Metallic Blonde on Relax has very dark roots. Enjoy your summer, Beautiful! xoxo Marlene
Definitely a pixie girl here. I enjoyed this! It seems most reviewers favor longer styles so I always watch when I see "Pixies" in the title. I have Elan and Relax too. I like Elan but those wefts in the back show so easily on me, even when the back is smoothed down. I always had to arrange it very carefully! I have it in Metallic Blonde Rooted and my Relax is also MBR but wow I hate those black roots. I didn't expect it to be that drastic. Love the style but I've worn it very little unfortunately. You look fantastic in it though Marlene! Suits you very well, but not so on me. :( Love you in pixies and glad you have ventured into these styles.
You look SO GOOD! If you're looking for more pixies might I recommend the Winner by Raquel Welch? I love her so much I have about six of them in different colors. It's one of RW's best selling styles for a reason.
I liked Elan & Gilda very much. Elan 1st choice. I wear pixies a lot. Got years. I’d like to get Quinn or just a different style than pixie to change it up a little
Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by and your comment. Love Elan and will be wearing it today. If you're referring to Quinn by Jon Renau, that's a really pretty style as well. Similar to Quinn is Sound by Ellen Wille. Mine just arrived. I'll be showing it soon. Love it! xoxo Marlene
I’ve thought about getting Ava a number of times but I struggle with the fit of EW wigs. I have a 22” circumference and while Girl Mono fits fine two others didn’t (can’t remember the style names) and I had to send them back.
Hi there, Lovely Lady! I thought Ava fit me pretty much like Girl Mono. Unlike a Elan that I had to stretch out and Satin that is small on my front to back, I think Ava fits true average. xoxo Marlene
Hi, what you're seeing is probably the return hair (permatease). Even if the style is non-heat friendly, try applying some steam to redirect the fibers (you can use a garment steamer). xoxo Marlene
Hi Pam, I purchased this necklace at Dilliard's online. Here's the link: www.dillards.com/p/southern-living-grey-pearl-pendant-statement-necklace/517709270
I love this colour! I bought EW topper Stream and this colour was a beautiful match with my bio hair minus the rooting. I solve this by putting dark hair powder on my bio bangs! I also usually cut bangs into my wigs and toppers. I wanted to leave this topper long sides as I intend to wear it in an updo and ponytails! I struggle with EW wigs because I’m a true average head measurements. So I bought a beautiful long EW wig and it has a hand tied cap and to my surprise it fits me really well! I just love love EW wigs and toppers for their up to date hair styles and amazing colours!
I forgot to mention the colour I’m in love with is Metallic Blonde Rooted ! My bio hair is platinum white front bangs and sides while my back is a light gray mixed with some white!
