That was spectacular. Definitely one of the HARDEST routines on Strictly and one of the best Showdances I've seen. I'd still give a ten despite the tumble. But the score didn't matter because Ellie and Vito WON.

I’m by far more impressed with how she saved herself at the end then if she’d of done it perfectly, her quick thinking was more impressive than that lift could’ve ever been! Amazing! I don’t want her ever looking back at this and thinking she messed up or she wished she could’ve done better, she should watch this back and think damn I did THAT! Because Ellie honey… THAT SAVE WAS EVERYTHING! It’s already an iconic moment in Strictly history. My favourite from week one, so proud! 🩷

Undoubtedly the riskiest and most wildly technical routine of the final with in-sync lifts galore, and to a very high tempo. I'd pay hard cash to see this again with them landing the final lift. Kudos to both of them for even attempting it let alone getting it 99.9% bang-on on the night.

Ellie apologising at the end of the routine, when she and Vito managed to save what could have been a disaster. Kudos to her for doing fantastic lifts that we havent even seen from the pro female dancers. She had no dance experience yet every week produced a high quality performance with Vito by her side as teacher and partner. Incredibly worthy winners.

This woman was the only one in the final to take real risks with her showdance. That was insane! Not even just the lifts and I could talk about those for days but the overall power, finesse, and trust between the two of them. This was a showdance! I loved all of the show dances from the night but everyone else played it safe. Ellie and Vito took a massive risk and I am so glad it paid off with a win.

Now THIS is a show dance! For the past few years it felt like most showdances have been pale imitations of one, they used to be so over the top brilliant and daring and that's what Ellie's was! Vito & Ella aka Vella OWNED!

She is such a brave girl, even when nearly falling from that height she had a smile on her face. These two trust each other so much ❤

It was SUCH a difficult choreography… It could have gone wrong in so many moments! What kind of faith U need to have in one another and what kind of partnership built to be able to perform like that…. WOW, I’m absolutely speechless and blown away! My favourites since day 1. Ellie, Queen, well deserved winning, BRAVA!! As I wrote couple of times before, Vito is an amazing teacher, choreographer and person. Such a sweetie, so happy for him too!! I believe that all female celebrities in future editions will pray to be paired up with him 🎉🎉

Absolutely fantastic! I loved Ellie from the start and could see her potential. This was THE Show Dance 😍 The fact that she managed to save it at the end just showed how far she’s come and how much she’s grown as a dancer. The best dance partnership this year!

The only one brave enough to do anything risky in the Showdance and that along with her progression is why she won. Both Bobbie and Layton played safe with their Showdances.

For me this whole series has been magical. I have cried sooo much with Ellie's dances, bobbys, Annabel's etc. i think the professionals have been outstanding. This dance made her my DEFINITE winner! I’ve been on team ELITO since week 1 and seeing this with all the most INCREDIBLE and most DIFFICULT lifts left me screaming at my TV! SO ICONIC! And yes there was that error with the lift at the end but she saved it and turned it into a different move and that just goes to show how FAR SHE HAS COME! so happy they won!!!

Tbh the slip at the end and the way she recovered was how a professional would have. That’s more impressive than if the lift had have worked 😂 I would have fell flat on my face

I think this still deserved a 40 because it was saved brilliantly, without the obvious wobbles it could’ve been part of the dance. She should be very proud of that performance! What commitment! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Edit: After seeing that they were supposed to finish like that minus the wobble, I still think it was exceptionally quick reaction and saved extremely well. To even attempt it is impressive.

I feel that the difficulty of the routine should be taken into account in scoring

From shy no dance experience girl to confident woman that has rhythm, feels the music and spins as if she learned it years ago. Thats what SCD did to Ellie. The two of them, in love or not, were perfect pairing. Well deserved win. Vito clearly got all ingredients needed. His choreographies were fantastic. Congrats to both of them!

This would’ve been 10s across the board if it weren’t for that one mistake at the end. Well I say, bloody hell, the lifts!!! My god they were mental! Such a good routine, I love show dances that are upbeat too and this is the perfect example. Such a shame that she did that mistake 😭

Fantastic winners. I backed their partnership from the start. Even with the slip-up, this show dance was amazing.

She was incredible, I have watched every episode ever broadcast of strictly, and the show dances used to be superb, until about 5 years ago, when they all of a sudden became really tame, and I did not enjoy, this was superb and brought back the proper show dance, hats off to Ellie, for trying and succeeding in an incredibly hard routine…..you had my vote from week 1, and a well deserved winner….and I am so glad the British public got it right this year….
