Nothing will compare to THE CARS. original, talented and one of a kind. When we lost Benjamin Orr, everything was over. That man played live 6 days before he passed away from cancer. He was Thee best. I wish the three remaining members all the best. Such talent.

A brilliant guitarist. He and bassist/vocalist Ben Orr provided the Rock element of The Cars while rhythm guitarist/vocalist Ric Ocasec and keyboardist Greg Hawkes brought the New Wave. The result was a singularly unique sound. So glad they're finally in the RRHOF. One of the all time great bands. Cheers, Elliot!

Absolutely one of the best and most underrated guitar players in the world!!! Ric Ocasek was the song writing machine Ben Greg and David, everyone one of them!! The best!!! Miss them so much!! They were a major part of my teens!!! Still listen to them today!!! Thanks so much for the music!!!! The inspiration!!!!

Seems like a very nice down to Earth guy. Their first album was one of the best albums of all time. The others were quite good too.

Never knew that Froggy was a member of the Cars. Elliot is one of the most overlooked guitarists in rock history.

😂Elliot is such a nice person, also very interesting and articulate. Fine musician, too. I was lucky enough to see the Cars play up in Chicago in '79 or so. Great concert! Makes me happy that there seems to be so much interest in them over the last few years. I think Elliot was 5 or 6 years younger than the rest of the guys in the Cars, so it must have been a great experience for him to hang out with the band, especially Ben Orr. IMO, Ben was the better singer, but Ric will certainly be considered one of the best, most enigmatic lyricists in rock history. 😂

A very good, straight-up interview. Elliot Easton's playing, both live and studio is an excellent illustration of "advice to aspiring musicians": namely, play what you hear as the stuff YOU think is good, not what they (whoever "they"* are?) say. I appreciate the precision of Easton's playing, and it is not surprising that he is into playing blues. I expect he is likely influenced by Peter Green and early Fleetwood Mac player Danny Kirwan? * "They" are a certain incarnation of Us.

I have yet to hear an interview where any of these CARS members brag or be full of themselves...yet they are humble incredibly decent confidant well spoken articulate people.

I never realized he wore a hair piece until recently. He was so young when the Cars became a success - hard to believe he was wearing a hair piece at that yound an age - great guitarist man - the guy has passion for that instrument like nobody else
