The most important overlooked part when updating the hardware. Download the Zip file without extracting the files. Just copy and paste the zip file to the Micro SD card. The hardware extracts the file for you. DO NOT EXTRACT THE FILE TO THE SDCARD.
@ypahub01 no I can't. All I can tell you what works. All other ways I have tried to update the firmware fail. I think the hardware processes the bin file to verify security maybe.
The titan wallet has issues updating with the sd card. If you can do a video on using the sd car and why it's not working or how we can fix this issue. No one has any direction and needs help. You'll get your likes and sub.
I had that issue before. The first step is to format the micro sd card to 32 and download the Ellipal firmware on their site. Come to find out you have to copy both zip files to your sd card (open/decompressed file) and the (unopened/compressed file yellow folder that have a zipper on it) after these steps. Take out the Adapter charging cord and adapter away from the titan then insert the micro SD card into the adapter and put the charging cord back in place to update the firmware.
@@infamousone710 Oh Dang, Did you try quick format only? Instead do the Long Format to see if it works...There's pros and cons with all Hardware wallets... There's people having issues with ledgers, d'cent, keepkey and others. Some will get hardware issues do to manufacturers producing them at warp speed and not being more balance to produce them.
can you help me i cant withdraw from the cold wallet always say insufissant miner fee l ihave 200$ bch trying to move half only i should have enough miner fee no
excuse my ignorance or confusion here but what is the point of the self destruct feature? so my understanding is if it’s tampered with it deletes everything on the wallet? i.e all the assets…? sooooo if i drop my wallet all my crypto is gone or what? 😅🤣
How come I can send crypto from the ellipal app to any address without any input of the hard wallet? I thought you needed the cold wallet to sign/authorize outgoing trx from the app?
I thought the same thing. Here’s what I found: “ELLIPAL wallets are equipped with air-gapped technology and, therefore, cannot connect to the internet or blockchain. To send funds to and from the wallet, the wallet is equipped with cameras to scan QR codes and send funds through the mobile app as a proxy. To send funds, users can create a transaction request on the mobile app. The app will generate a QR code for the transaction that can be scanned by the wallet to authorize the transaction. Once authorized, the wallet will generate another QR code to confirm the transaction. Once this QR code is scanned through the mobile app, the transaction will be initiated. ELLIPAL utilizes QR codes instead of direct internet connection to avoid the possibility of online attacks. Once funds are secured in the wallet, users can view their portfolio information on the wallet by entering the safety phrase and navigating the interface.”
@@sourkat45 but that seed phrase would need to be transmitted, in some form or other, to Ellipal, because if you lose the device, and you buy a new one, they need to have a record of it to allow you to regain your wallet
@@simplest2remember That's not how that works at all. You are plain wrong and saying that is disinformation. If you have to get a new device, you buy it, and enter your seed phrase. And then you get your wallet back. Ellipal can't do anything about it.
Because they make more money by doing good business than spending a bunch of time committing illegal activity at scale against their users. It's common sense economics aligning incentives. Yes, they could be compromising seed phrases, but doing so is a lot of work and risk.
Thanks for the review. Am kinda new to cryptocurrency and kinda not. But just this month I wanted to buy a hard wallet so I can store my cryptocurrency each and every month just in case I need to fall back on it. So imma planning to buy this off Amazon as well. Thanks for helping me decide to see if I wanna get it or not. Thanks so much. Also you earned a new sub from mes. :)
What does this mean? Why would you need to transition to an exchange? This is like Ledger (who have zero support if that matters to you), it's peer to peer.
ELLIPAL TITAN: ELLIPAL does not limit the number of App combinations installed. ELLIPAL supports: 40 Blockchains and 10,000+ Tokens. Examples are Bitcoin and Ethereum, BCH, DASH, etc. and new coins added every month. ELLIPAL support more than 250 DAPPs for examples: OpenSeas, Uniswap, Aave, YfII, etc. ELLIPAL supports all DAPPs and coins so you don’t need to worry about any storage restrictions.
I have been trying to extract the zip file download onto the SD card, and nothing works I even bought a new 16 GB micro SIM! and still not working! This process needs to be made better. and easer?
@@GalaxyTechReview The last thing you want when you're desperately trying to save your pension (I have just been replacing the screen on my Ledger, having lost my seed phrase), is some smart anti-tempering "feature", that will ensure you will crash and burn. The fact is, the chances of someone stealing it, recognizing it, and have the skills to break into to, and solder a few wires here and there is.... go fetch Miss Moneypenny....
I heard that there are high fees when you go to cash out? Is this true can anyone who definitely knows answer me? I want to buy one but I’m not sure about the fees that come into play when you move your crypto from the wallet back to coinbase to cash out? Are there high fees associated with cashing out can anyone who 100% knows please tell me?
