Finding a great paint pen for wood signs or other related art projects can be tricky; but I have to say I LOVE Elmers Painters. They come in so many wonderful colors, and the ink flow is great. The one thing I don't love about them is how tricky it is to open them & get the ink flow started... this is a quick 3 minute video to show you how to do just that!

Ah! That explains a lot! Question: I was able to use mine but the next day no more ink came out. I think somehow the nib got messed up with the paint. How do I prevent this from happening and how to fix it when it does?

I got an ultra fine tip and the plastic part fell off, and I think it might be the led thingy and I chewed on it. Can I get poisoned from that

I tried using the same paint pen to draw bricks, white for mortar, and I would not recommend it. I had a hard time with the paint pen. The paint tip would dry in between uses and the paint wouldn't come out. When I did get the paint to go out it would come out and stop randomly and would pour out all on my project and I had to clean and repaint my board red again. I wouldn't recommend this if you are going for precision drawing in your artwork.
