Jeff Lynne is one of THE best songwriters of the 20th Century. I remember hearing all these hits on my little radio as a boy; you'd hear them in cars driving by - thru the neighborhood; my sisters would be listening to this song while getting ready for their first dates... At the roller rink, the car wash, the lake... The music of the seventies feels like a visceral part of my very being...
Bet you didn't expect a reply 5 years later, but Jeff Lynne is a god. I agree with you. He still sounds the same to this day. And every time the radio has been on since I've been a kid, you always heard an ELO song every few hours and unfortunately nobody ever really knew who they were. So underrated.
My daughter and I Still rock out to this song when driving together. She's 22 now and Loves ELO, Queen and All the music I drove into her head when she was growing up. So glad I passed on this great music to her. One thing we have and will Always share!!
Being a huge Electric Light Orchestra fan since I was a kid, I was very happy to hear Jeff Lynne decided to revive the band in 2001 and release "Zoom". When I heard ELO would be touring that summer I bought a ticket and was very anxious to see them. Sadly, as I am sure you know, the tour was cancelled due to poor ticket sales. I was hoping Jeff Lynne would give it another shot and I am so glad he did. I saw Jeff Lynne's ELO at Madison Square Garden August 21, 2018 and the show was nothing short of phenomenal. Jeff Lynne is definitely one of the greatest singer, songwriter and performers in history. Will be seeing ELO perform again July 16, 2019 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. I can hardly wait.
THEY ARE BACK !! JEFF LYNN'S ELO ON TOUR IN AMERICA THIS SUMMER/FALL. BOSTON TD. GARDEN SEPTEMBER 22ND 2024 LIVE. DON'T MISS YOUR FINAL CHANCE TO SEE THE LEDGEND AND PERFECTIONIST JEFF LYNN.
From 1:43-1:59, might be one of the coolest sections of any performance on video. Rosie Vela adds so much beauty, grace, and fun - then Jeff Lynne smiling like a happy sheepdog from 1:57-1:59 caps it off. WAY cool.
Truly a musical genius. I cannot say how much I love watching their live performances. ALWAYS brings a smile to my face. One word to describe Jeff Lynne--WOW!
OMFG Jeff Lynne's voice is so excellent! He has lost absolutely nothing, I can't think of a single artist of his age and caliber that still has 100% of his voice still, what a remarkable gift. This man is a National Treasure.
Mark Mann is an awesome guitarist. Jeff is lucky to have such a player with him. Mark's work on the concert for George at the Albert Hall was amazing. Marks slide playing was indeed world class. 10/10.
Jeff Lynne is a God and with Rosie's fantastic voice backing him up you got perfection. I had tickets for the store and the Toronto date was cancelled I was heartbroken. Jeff Lynne is the world's best songwriter producer and he's a pretty damn good guitar player he can do no wrong in my book
Weezer VanTrout I agree, they sound great. Im 62 yrs old, still love their sound. My Granddaughter loves them too. Sometimes we dance to ELO. Ol to be 20 yrs old again.
Rupert rozells you say "no gimmicks" I like ELO, the more I listen,(it's only 41yrs since my first ELO LP) the more I like them and the more I appreciate Jeff Lynne. The _no gimmicks_ I can remember back in the 70s +_ there was a big to-do about ELO lip-syncing. As I recall they basically conceded to it!? honestly I don't recall what happened and I don't care I'm just throwing this out there for trivia. Thank fyt
I got away from most of the music I loved in the 60's and 70's. Just getting back. I have watched your videos, before. I forget how great these guys are and what an immense talent Jeff Lynne is. Thanks. Besides, I love listening to songs I actually know the words to.
So you go online and make comments on youtube telling other people what's right or wrong for their lives and if they've made bad decisions even though... you don't even know these people or what the situation was? That's absurd & asinine 👎
The 70s music will put you on another planet that no one will understand unless you have a love of the 70s music. You don't need drugs or alcohol to appreciate the best music ever. God....take me back to the 70s and leave me there....I'll be just fine.
