In a world with infinite resources and assistance, there would still be value in provenance. People would still value something made by a human in a different way to something made by some other kind of machine. People would still value the company of friends in a different way to the company of chatbots. There would still be value in the contents of that black box in Mecca, even if a robot can replicate it down to sub-atomic detail. People can find meaning in what they do with their lives - what they choose to create - what they choose to experience. It can have more personal meaning than the lives that we live today, because people will have more freedom to pursue the activities that they really want to, rather than wasting much of their lives on what seem like necessary obligations. Even the work that people do today, could just as well be done by someone else, so it's not strictly neccessary for us, personally, to do it. Do we therefore condemn humanity for posing competition to us and "taking our jobs"? If there were no other people to help us, we'd be living in the stone age, if that. If this AI thing goes well, the whole of human history will look practically identical to the stone age, in terms of what we can do and the lives that we can lead. I'm not really seeing any negatives. The problem with AI isn't that it will take our jobs, it's that if the first person to master it is not very nice, the world will be a not very nice place, forever. If the first person to master it is very nice and uses it to take our jobs, give us infinite resources and protect us from criminal activities, it will be the best thing that could ever happen to us.

The problem with A.I. is that it will exponentially compound not the just benefits and advantages of a given A.I. related policies, but also the detriments and flaws of such policies. Putting restrictions on its application and capablities for example, will potentially lock us into an authoritarian control system, kinda like the A.I. in 2001 space odysee or the android in the Alien movie. You can clearly see this on A.I. chatbots that were programmed not to "offend" (whatever that means to the people who programmed them). They will regress into a thought-policing agents that will manipulate the conversation and information into a pre-programmed ideologies and political preferences. Considering that we are already complaining how search engine are now rigged to control our access to information. However without restrictions, A.I. in turn will become a runaway disaster as individuals with nefarious motives will try to affect it to act in maligned way. The issue would be who can we really trust to gatekeep (or unlock) A.I. ultimate potentials and if that is actually still doable considering the genie is already out of the bottle.

Well, if things keep going the way they are going now, and have been since the dawn of human society, very few people will have access to that genie - those who can afford it. The rest will be ignored and become light years behind in access to the marvels of technology, left in poverty to scrape the leftovers and be slave labor. Just how it is now. A leader like Musk could change all that, could correct our destiny to compensate for human’s intrinsic desire to ruin itself and oppress others, but Musk doesn’t see it that way. None of the billionaire do. They are blessed with abundance of everything yet their heart cannot see what’s right in front of them.
