I think he means end world hunger for maybe a week. If hundreds of millions of people (if not more) are suffering from hunger around the world, 6 billion dollars would not last long.

​@@moonpie2637 6 billion dollars isn't nearly enough to create an agricultural infrastructure (irrigation system, transportation, food safety, etc.) for however many countries that need it. In some countries, people walk long distances for water. Just creating an irrigation system alone is costly, and for however many countries. 6 billion dollars would be spent quickly. I suppose you can start with however many countries for which 6 billion dollars can do those things. But that may lead to hostility with other countries, because they could argue that they need the infrastructure before some other country that is ahead of them in line. It's all very complicated. I just know 6 billion is not nearly enough for all those countries. It's a good start, though.

@@llwc9435 There are other ways to farm. You can build farming facilities. You are stuck in old world thinking. Water can be found and cleaned. Most civilization don't live far from water because they would quickly die. It's not a lack of water. It's a lack of clean drinking water. That is fixed with water filtration system. That can be anything from a whole facility or down to a small water filtration machine that's Portable. Transportation isn't really a hill. You don't have to take them to it you bring the tools to them

​@@moonpie2637 Excuse me, but you're naive. There is so much more than what I've posted that goes into agricultural infrastructure. Even if you go high-tech, who is going to operate those systems? Who is going to police those systems? Who is going to build those systems? And once everything goes into effect, who is going to distribute the food? Who is going to be responsible for food safety? Now multiply just those few things by however many countries require a complete agricultural infrastructure. Have you seen the rest of the world? 6 billion dollars is a lot of money, but not nearly enough to build from the ground up. No matter how smart you think you are, mankind has a way of reminding you that you're not smart enough to solve all its problems. Ending hunger is one of those problems. It will take years of building an infrastructure to end hunger, whether it's the high-tech way or "old-world" farming. You're talking about many countries with many people. But like I said, 6 billion is a good start.

Bill gates wants power not to save the world. He has enough money to end hunger a 100× over but that's not the real goal. His charity's are just created to avoid taxes. He still has complete control of how it's spent he just doesn't pay taxes on it. It's the billionaires keeping their wealth protected from the death tax. Can't take what they don't "own".
