It feels like Elon grew out of it a lot, seems like people with Aspergers take longer time to learn social skills and emotional inteligence but it can still be learned. Like nowadays when u see him on like Joe Rogans podcast he seems absolutely chill and i wouldnt even say he has Aspergers if i didnt know him, just a classic engineer mind.

We can also communicate with other species by rationally understanding how they communicate. Same can be done with regards to humans, given enough time to observe. But Musk also has the benefit of being respected and beloved by default because of his status. @@MrMajsterixx

@@LittleLamb-vs8ug I agree that the diagnosis is way further than it should have been. It would’ve been nice for him and the parents to have known sooner. But I always say, at least we know now, that’s what matters. I understand the being called lazy part a lot. I’ve been called the same thing, but I understand it more now. It’s not that we’re lazy, it’s really not, it’s just that we don’t know how to do what we want to do, so we don’t try. It’s a dilemma, basically what goes on in my head, is “I really want to do this thing, but I don’t know how to, then I give up”. So the idea is “don’t try if I can’t do it, what’s the point?” If that makes sense. I’m not sure if your brother has that problem, but it would be good to talk about it with him to help him work through it. But I’m sure he’s already understood what he’s dealing with. But still couldn’t hurt to talk about with him. If it bothers him to talk about it, be respectful, try to slowly introduce the idea with him, and help him take one step at a time. I went to therapy and my therapist calls it “baby steps”. Baby steps are verrry important. If you want to chat, I’m here to help. I don’t mind talking over the phone

@enriquehirshfeltikov2395
@enriquehirshfeltikov2395 9 месяцев назад
@@Ruthless701it's not a fact of being able to teach them social cues. Father of a child with Aspergers. The problem is what is a social cue? Body language, tone, relevant knowledge of the whole system of building blocks that others have adapted to "naturally". That would be like you understanding ice; not because it's cold, but the fundamental system of why water acts weirdly compared to other elements at its freezing point. I will say this. And, some of you may not like the idea. It's easier to teach someone not neuro-divergent how to recognize cues from a neurodivergent person, than it is to explain to a neurodivergent person how to understand or act "normal". Other than living in the Midwest of America, I've found that most kids are better at "understanding" my son, than even their parents. The whole mentality we force on kids is counter intuitive to how kids actually interact.

Neurotypicals actually bond by gossiping, bullying, and excluding people. Neurodivergent people bond by hobbies and interests. It’s the reason I’ve learned to only be friends with neurodivergent people. Neurotypicals don’t accept people different from themselves on a deeper level. My son has high functioning autism and has been bullied for most of his life. He is now 16 yrs old. I keep telling him about Elon Musk and how he has Aspergers, but they don’t call it that anymore, and how successful he is. I keep telling our son, it is not a death sentence, but a superpower and he just has to figure out how to tap into it.

If is a relief learning about being an Asperger early on. Your son will eventually realize the opinions of bullies DO NOT matter at all! 😊 Aspergers is considered an evolutionary trait, by several people including Tony Attwood, the world leading expert on children with Asperger.

Considering he has been living with Asperger’s, I think he’s done quite well. It would be nice to see his dreams of Mars realized with As Much Help as Possible. - Humanity needs to be interplanetary and he has shown that Asperger’s is just a hurdle that you only need understanding

The world should be more understanding about people who are not very social. Dont make it awkward, dont feel bad for us. Thats just how we are. Stop the pressure for us to socialize.

Most children find a sense of "place" (of belonging) in childhood. If social interaction is difficult, because "interpretation of others" is lacking (wiring differences), it interferes with the sense of place and of belonging. It is interesting to observe attachment styles and the variety of physical interaction methods. Some are contact sensitive with a "don't touch" (distance zones) sensitivity and others are "in touch" (skin contact) tactile interpretive types. All five (5) senses are used for interaction and interpretation of the outside (other) world. Each of us are different and some are unique (on scale) in their interpretation abilities. Some of us are wired differently. Trust and safety standards seem to be embedded in these personality traits. Miscommunication (miscoded) interaction bonding, can lend to psychological effects later. Self-sabotage (fear of success) harm to self or others (physical and/or emotional harm), or even overt exhibitionism of physical or psychological traits can be observed. Childhood and adult relationships are deeply affected by these various interaction and interpretation styles. Awareness is key to navigating adult relationships. Patience and understanding of bonding types are important to all interaction (especially within the family dynamic). ⚖🏋️‍♀️📏📐💎

In a way Elon was very lucky because of his mother. I'm in spectrum too, and i was bulled both by kids, some teachers and family. My parents even allowed their friends to insult me. Eventually I sorted it mostly on my own and even started working on my own, but I've done it my 40's. So much life wasted
