SpaceX CEO and CTO Elon Musk takes us on a tour of the SpaceX Headquarters located in Hawthorne, CA , just outside of Los Angeles. Once a manufacturing site for the 747 aircraft, this 500,000 square foot facility is where SpaceX now designs and builds 80% of the Falcon line.

Yes. You exactly said my mind. This guy is unbelievably amazing. He goes through the descriptions as if he has handwritten each and every component of the rocket design and have it to the guys for cutting out. What a leader to work for. And his COO lady is another one. Success for them is like a boring repetition. May their enterprise rock. Can't wait for the successful launch of Demo - 2 mission.

I don't find that shocking at all, frankly, considering what he is, what he does, i'd find it shocking if he didn't, but at the same time normal. In a complete and utterly unconnected parallel, ask EA's top CEO how a game engine works, you'd get a pause. OR ask GoogTube's CEO how the algorithm is created...you'd probably get some bs about how we interrupted her. People up top are incompetent. The other side is an extreme, he's an extreme. Usually you find idiots who can't even figure out a straight line from a T.

What I am not aware of, is the reason for which you found it necessary to turn this into a personal dispute. All I did was to point out that it seems humorous from our current point of view, to hear Musk state that production should be completed in 3 years, while in reality more than 7 were necessary.

The dragon docked with the ISS, successfully launching Americans into space again, with American rockets, from American soil. This Man had the vision back then. He kept working hard through trial and error, kept adapting, kept improving. I have the utmost respect for him. Congratulations Elon and the SpaceX team! You're an inspiration to us all.

Yes, it has been delayed but Falcon 9 was upgraded to carry much heavier payloads to orbit so the Heavy wasn't needed that much that early in the company's life.

I find it hard to believe (in a good way) that these people are wearing casual shirts and working in what looks like a casual factory to build rockets for NASA! There is something very positive about this guy and his companies.

It fascinates me alot when some people think this guy is a fraud, just looking at tours and interviews this guy sure know his business inside and out and they achieve great things
