Absolute genius. This is beyond a tribute -- it is a reimaginative interpretation played with a maestro's chops well beyond Emerson's. And the percussionist would hold her own with Palmer himself. I do have one major complaint -- why haven't you toured the United States!
Sorry phoenixcube, but this is great. What a superb rendition of this music with just piano and percussion! Moves it out of the stadium rock arena into somewhere more accessible. Excellent performance.
I love her/their performance of Emerson's works. Lots of energy and talent! (See also Emerson's concerto No. 1, third movement played by them). I love it that Emerson's pieces are being documented for posterity and are starting to be passed down to future generations and played by virtuosos, like the works of the classical composers. I think that ELP's stuff is more popular in Japan than in the US!
Such a pleasure to hear Keith Emerson's wonderful composition played by such accomplished artists as Aki Kuroda and Co. Yes, an unfortunate mix but we're lucky to have it, anyway. Highly recommend her CD of Tarkus and Pictures at an Exhibition. The mp3 download is available on Amazon, the CD very difficult to find outside of Japan.
Wow! That's great. They took alot of liberties with the material, and I love it! Very inspiring interpretation of what I feel is the greatest rock organ composition ever penned. I wonder what KE would think about it?
I am currently working on Eruption and it it not an easy piece especially playing fast . The piano player has some great chop and adds some dissonance into the music .
In Italiano che è meglio: brave...bravi! In 2 fate tutto quello che serve. Mi piacete un casino. Il "mio" punk ha x molto tempo distrutto sta meraviglia di roba. Miei complimenti. It's morning and it's not a nice day. I don't know if you are English or Italian girls, sure you're very similar at my latest fantastic piano/percussion transcripition of the original Tarkus from K. Emerson, (I ever thought he's the really composer, Greg Lake just a good member...). You two are very very nice...percussion are fantastic, ...piano too. My piano version is just darkness too. If u please I wanna be your fan. See u soon. My best goodbye! Ya! GianLuca "Nico Gamma" Galliani (from Italy
Come cazzo è? Hai mai sentito l'inno alla paranoia di Beethoven? (mica si scrive così... ma chi se ne fotte). No, scherzi a parte, è 1 capolavoro e, guara caso ci stavo lavorando anch'io, piano e percussioni, senza synth e basso. Senon la conoscevi... studia allora! ;-) Ciao GianLuca Nico Gamma Galiani (Gaznevadakeyboardist) Abbracci cmq.
