To me there are 2 best and outstanding piano 🎹🎶 men who came into being since early 1970s. Both each of them is still the musician 🎶 🎸 🎹 🎷🎼 🎵🎤 and the singer legend today. They are * Billy Joel * & * Elton John.*
Me too Joseph, I completely understand how you feel. It’s like a break up, you love someone for 40yrs and you know you won’t see him again and that part of your life is over.😢😢😢 His songs got me thru some really bad times and there will never be another like him, he was one of a kind.❤
Saw him in Phoenix a couple nights ago. I admit, I was kinda just tagging along with my wife's family as I'm more of a hard rock/Metal fan. That said, it was a fantastic show! Dude had incredible energy, and his band rocked out. Turned several "slow songs" into jam sessions that I really enjoyed. By the end of the show, a solid 2 hours later, I was still craving more. I totally get it now. I respected the talent and longevity of his career before the show, but now I understand the fans love for the guy. So while I'm kicking myself for not being a huge supporter before, I'm extremely pleased I was able to experience the spectacle live.
My sister Lisa and I are from Alaska and we traveled to Washington a few days before his concert at the Tacoma Dome, her daughter Crissy lives in Shelton and the 3 of us went we had such an amazing time watching his concert my sister and I were in total awe and a few times we actually shed a tear from some songs they brought back memories listening to our Mom sing his songs while she was in the kitchen cooking I was in 3 rd grade maybe 4th, we were so honored to be a part of the concert. I bought the Yellow Brick Rd sweatshirt and one of the black ones I'm going to treat them like gold. And we dressed up I wore heart shaped sunglasses with sparklys and she wore these big cool sunglasses the sunglasses pulled our outfits perfect
Elton is not the only musical giant still performing live in 2022 despite being well into their 70's. The Rolling Stones and Englebert Humperdinck are both still active on the live scene. I'm sure there are others but these three are huge in their own sphere of music.
@@Gioschi Yes, he's going strong as well. Then there's the incredible Tony Bennett who sang with Lady Gaga just last year at the age of 95. His voice is still there!! Unfortunately he's afflicted with Alzheimer's disease.
@@mikemcf33 That word doesn't even have a meaning anymore because of statements like that. Good piano player, less than average voice. Bernie writes the songs so where does "genius" come in?
@@kendallevans4079 Top quality pianist, top quality performer and entertainer which is why he has longevity compared to those who’s voices are technically “better”. Much like Meat Loaf who didn’t write his own songs, but was a huge, passionate character on stage when performing that’s what grasped and kept the fans
